[TW- implied needle injection]
"Hello? MC?" Seven asked, "MC?"
He heard the sound of rapid footsteps, then the phone clattering to the ground. He felt his heart sink as he realized what was happening, but if he said something it might let the attacker know that he was listening. He quickly started to track the call and sat with his entire body tense as he waited for the outcome.
By the time he could get the call traced, all he could hear on the other end was the wind. He wasn't too late, though. This was a huge lead. He stood up and ran to the garage, picking up everything he would need as he passed it. Vanderwood tried to protest, but Seven was too quick. He jumped into a car and started it, then sped out.
He set the GPS as he drove (which almost caused an accident) and made it to the location in almost no time. He hopped out of the car and could see MC's phone, still in a call with him. He picked it up and ended the call, then started looking through it on the off chance that she would have something useful in there.
He opened up the Tile app, then looked through what she had connected. Wallet? There's no way her wallet somehow ended up in the middle of the mountains. He had her location.
He pocketed her phone and turned to his car, only to be met with a familiar-looking white-haired man leaning against it. Why did that guy look so familiar?
"I see you're trying to find her." The man said.
"Who are you?" Seven asked, planting his feet in expectation of an attack.
"Someone who's... More prepared than they were before." The man explained. As he finished, Seven felt something jab into his neck. He started to struggle, but quickly toppled to the ground.
"That was much easier, I think I'll invest in more serum." The man said in a sinister tone.
Seven opened his mouth to protest, shout, anything- but all that came out was a low groan and a surplus of saliva. The man laughed, then walked up and kicked him in the stomach. Then, he finally blacked out.

MC opened her eyes and sat up at the sound of the door opening.
"Where'd she go... I knew I should have locked the door." The door slammed shut, then there was the sound of the chair being pulled across the floor. She slowly crawled to the opening of the vent and looked through the slits. Down on the floor, she watched Seven get tied to the same chair. She smiled, happy to finally have some help. Of course, it wasn't good that he was being tied up as well, but it's not like she couldn't undo a knot.
It was nice to see him in person and not feel obligated to punch him in the face.
[A/N: This chapter is short af because I realized partway through that I was going into next-chapter territory with what I was writing and had to delete a third of the chapter lol; next chapter will have the stuff I needed to cut tho]
