[She vomits in the first paragraph fyi, if you still want to read the chapter just skim that paragraph]

Blinking awake, she tried to look at her surroundings. Tried is the word, as she threw up before she could get a good idea of what was happening. She groaned as she looked down at the mess she had made all over herself. Questions started flooding her mind. Who attacked her? What did she do wrong? Her world was spinning, not just because of her confusion, but also because of her extreme dizziness. She quickly passed out again.

This time she woke up with only a massive headache and minor nausea. She looked around, for real this time. The room was dim, but she could make out where the walls were due to a large window to her left. The moon was half full, it was only enough to be slightly useful. She breathed out a shaky breath, then tried to move.

Ropes. Ropes were wrapped around her body, effectively tying her to the chair with her hands tied in front of her. She sighed, then started to wiggle. It probably looked stupid, but the ropes weren't that loose. If she could get her arms loose, then she could grab her knife and cut the rest.

After a minute of wiggling, the ropes finally fell to the floor. She smiled, then pushed her arm back towards her pocket. She felt around for a moment, then realized she was wearing men's pants. This meant that her pockets were much deeper than usual.

She mentally cursed herself, then started trying to maneuver the knife up towards the opening of the pocket. As time went on it seemed to loosen, just enough that she could dig her fingers into the pocket and yank it out with only a little wiggling around. It was incredibly satisfying.

She wrapped her fingers around the knife, then started cutting. One rope was all it took to get her free, and she almost laughed when her binds finally fell slack around her waist. She lifted the ropes off of her, then stood.

She felt her legs crumple from the dizziness, but quickly planted her hands on the chair and stopped herself from completely toppling over. She had to get somewhere safe fast.

She looked around quickly, trying to ignore the (now pulsing) pain surrounding her skull. Where could she go? Then, she spotted the air vents. She smiled, then grabbed the chair and unhooked the latch. She happened to be spending a lot of time in vents these days.

Once she got a good grip, she kicked away the chair and lifted herself up.

She closed the vent behind her, then exhaled deeply as she leaned back on the side of the vent. It was bigger than usual, but by no means comfortable. She put a hand to her head and started looking herself over. Her nose was bleeding and definitely broken, and she wasn't going to rule out the possibility that she had a concussion. She felt her neck, which was sore from being choked.

This was a tough situation, but luckily she knew what to do. Right now, she just had to get in contact with her superiors. She reached into her pocket and-

FUCK!

She dropped her phone when she was attacked. Now what would she do? Stay up here until she died of dehydration? Let someone find her and allow herself to get into the same situation as before?

Wait a minute... She was in a phone call with Seven. Seven probably knew how to trace a phone call! It was only a matter of time before he figured out where she went from there, right? She held her hand to her mouth to keep from laughing. She had never been so happy to hear a phone call was traced.

She leaned her head back against the vent and closed her eyes. Now all she had to do was keep track of who walked in and out of the room, which would be easy enough. She wiped her nose, then settled in. She wasn't going to be here much longer.
