The next morning, she took in a deep breath, then called Zen.
He picked up almost instantly. "This is the first time I'm hearing your voice, if I'm correct~"
"It is." She smiled.
"Oh! It's very pretty. How are you? Have you eaten?"
"I'm going to when we finish this call. But, I have to ask you something."
"If it's for an autograph, it's my pleasure." He said happily.
She chortled. "No, not right now, at least. I uh, I need Seven's address."
"Oh." There was a pause. "Well, you can't go there, what with the hacker and everything."
She knew there would be a complication, so she had a lie prepared. "I know, I just want to mail him something. The idea is that if he won't answer my calls or respond to my messages, maybe he'll respond to a written letter."
"Oh! How old-school of you." He seemed charmed, which was nice for her. Not just because she was getting what she wanted, but also because she genuinely enjoyed hearing him like that.
"Yeah, I know." She laughed softly.
"I can text you his address. Let me know how it turns out, okay?"
"Yeah, for sure." She'd have to lie again later, sadly. But that's how it is sometimes.
"Well, I better let you go eat then." He admitted, a little melancholy, to be honest.
"Yeah, I guess so. It was nice to hear your voice."
"Yours as well. Bye~"
"Bye~" She said, ending the call. She set her phone down and sighed. He seemed nice.
Her phone buzzed, and the screen lit up to reveal Seven's address. She sent a quick 'thanks', then grabbed a piece of fruit. She pocketed her phone, then walked back into her room. She essentially had to pretend she was going to work.
After dawing her agent uniform and a face mask, she slung her bag of hacking gear over her shoulder and headed out the door. She barely made it two steps down the street before she got a call from Seven.
"Hello." She answered.
"Where are you?" He asked.
"Where are you?" She asked back. She couldn't help but be irritating. Besides, it bought her more time.
"I'm out trying to find you." He explained, audibly annoyed. "Where the hell did you go?"
"To work." She wasn't lying, technically.
"And work is worth risking your life?"
"Yeah." She answered dully.
"Just... When you get to work, don't move. I'll go get you."
"Fine." Good luck finding her. He hung up suddenly, and as soon as he did she turned off her location service. He didn't bug her, so without that he wouldn't be able to find her.
With that, she knew that he wasn't home. It would be a piece of cake. All she had to do was find the damn place.

She walked up to his house. There was a camera, and she waved at it. She assumed the panel for the wiring wouldn't be right under the camera, that would be too easy. Plus, there was a very obvious metal plate right there.
So, she trekked around the side and started checking. It didn't take long, just a stick and good hearing. Once she found the hollow spot, she pried it open. Sitting in the grass, she took a look. It was weird wiring, but she could figure it out after a while. First thing's first, she had to delete the recent camera footage.
While she worked, her phone started ringing again.
"Yeah?" She answered.
"I have no idea where you are." Seven replied.
"Well, keep looking. I'm not hiding by any means."
"If you're not hiding, why can't I find you?"
"You don't understand where I work, do you? If you're trying to trace my call, I'm not going to let you." She hung up, then put her phone down beside her. She went back to work.
Not long after, she finally made the doors open. She could hear them open. She picked up her phone, then rushed around the side. She had it programmed so that they would shut behind her.
The doors shut, and she made her way into the house. It was nice, although messy. By the desk, she found a pile of printer paper. She grabbed a sheet, then sat down and started writing.
"I know this sounds bad, what with the breaking and entering and all, but I need you to listen to me. Please don't question how I got this note to you, I promise I'll never do anything so harsh ever again.
Seven, I just wanted to prove that I wasn't so weak. I wanted to seem worthy to you. I messed up really bad, and so I had to do this. Just as a final gesture before I finally stop trying to beat you in the "who's most dangerous" game.
I'm sincerely sorry, and I promise nothing like this will ever happen again. I've called everything off, and you don't have to worry about me. Let's go back to how things were. I went in over my head, and I'm fine with just being friends if means that everything will be normal again.
I really appreciate you, Sevvy.

With that, she stood, then walked out. The programming was practically nonexistent to get out, so she just left. She walked around the side and grabbed her stuff, then started the walk back to her apartment.
As she walked, she watched a car go by. It was fancy and had a familiar-looking redhead in the driver's seat. She didn't dare wave or anything, she was already in such hot water. Besides, maybe it was best if he didn't know what she looked like just yet.
She turned, then kept making her way back to her house. Her mind was swimming with possibilities of what would happen next, but she knew the future couldn't be helped. She had to think of this as a spy mission, and try to separate it from the rest of her life. At least, until she was confronted.
She unlocked the apartment, then walked inside. It was late, so she ate a quick meal to satisfy her, then fell into bed. She fell asleep almost instantly.
