DISORIENTED. The word that explained what Verona felt at that very moment. Confusion taunted every thought in her head. It was taking her mind an excruciating amount of time to sort out the information that she had been told-- like her mind was working in slow motion. She was desperate for answers. Desperate to know how Berlin knew her father, and why he decided to recruit her for the heist. Nothing was making any sense to her. The agonizing pounding in her head refused to go away.

Verona stood next to one of the many windows that overlooked the front of the bank, her forehead leaning against the cool glass. Her eyes scanned over the many police officers that stood outside, waiting for their chance to end this. She tried desperately to busy herself, tired of being trapped inside her own head.

The sunlight beamed through the window, heating up her chilled skin. Part of her forgot what being outside felt like, after being locked up in the Royal Mint for almost four days. Those four days had felt like four weeks, time seeming to drag itself out. She wanted it to be over.

Something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention, diverting her eyes over to the bank's front staircase. Her eyes narrowed, trying to get a better look at what it was. She felt her stomach drop at the sight of Tokyo taped down to a metal cart, rolling down the staircase. She watched as the woman let out screams, terrified of what was to come. Verona's eyes were wide, watching as the police surrounded the woman.

'I've got to go handle something...'

Berlin's words rang throughout her mind. She didn't expect him to give her to the police. Another way of him telling the group not to question his authority. He was definitely good at getting the message across. Throwing one last glance at the woman, she turned to exit the room. Her eyes landed on Rio, who looked at her with a curious gaze. He noticed the startled look that had been on her face when she turned around from the window, peaking his interest of what had caught her attention.

He took a few steps towards her, and Verona grabbed his arm, trying to keep him away from seeing what she had just witnessed. The blonde girl knew that he loved Tokyo, and would react in an erratic way if he sees her outside with the police. He always reacted on impulse, guided by his emotions.

His eyebrows scrunched up, casting a puzzled glance at her. Rio gently removed her hand from his arm, and approached the window.

After a moment, she noticed how his body tensed. The love of his life was just reeled out to the police on a silver platter, and he could do nothing about it. A scream emitted from his lips, causing the girl to flinch slightly. She could hear the anger and frustration that had built up in him. Verona felt pressure building up in her chest, watching as the boy slammed the palm of his hand against the wall. He turned around to look at her, his eyes looming with an abundance of emotions.
