AFTER THE INTERVIEW WITH THE REPORTERS, THE GROUP HAD OFFICIALLY GAINED THE SYMPATHY OF THE PUBLIC. They managed to debunk all the claims that the police had made against them, leaving them sinking in their own lies. With the people on their side, everything was going to run much smoother for the dysfunctional group of criminals. It was a relief to finally feel like everything was back on track. Everything was slowly falling back into place little by little-- but that wouldn't last for long. It never did.

Verona walked down the hallway of the bank with Florence by her side, heading towards the room where Rio was to give him the news. The Professor was going to attempt to free Tokyo, which would hopefully get the young boy back on their side. When they entered the room, Rio slowly turned his body towards them. His eyes drifted down to the pair of scissors clutched between her fingers, a puzzled look clouding over his features.

"We have good news." Verona started, glancing over at Florence with a smile growing on her face. Rio titled his head to the side, signaling her to continue. "The Professor is going to try and free Tokyo." She expected him to be overtaken with joy, but was instead met by an expression of guilt and regret. Her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion, wondering why he didn't seem happy by the news she had just given him.

"What's wrong?" Florence questioned curiously, his eyes narrowing slightly at him. Rio didn't mutter a word, and turned around so Verona could cut the zip-tie that bounded his hands together. As soon as she cut it off, she grabbed his shoulder to turn him around.

"What the hell did you do?" Verona queried, her chest starting to tighten. He was way too guilt-ridden to not be hiding something.

"They're going to escape." Rio admitted, and pushed past them quickly, scurrying out of the room. Verona felt her stomach drop at the news, and she glanced over at Florence.

"Get Nairobi." Verona ordered, and he nodded his head. The two of them bolted out of the room, going in two separate directions. The blonde girl had her M-16 clutched tightly in her hands as she ran down the main staircase. Her body pumped with adrenaline. If the hostages managed to escape, it was over for them.

When she got to the end of the staircase, she heard yelling from the entrance of the bank. She ran around the corner, her eyes landing on all the remaining hostages. Arturo held Denver against his chest, a gun to the man's temple. With all the commotion and yelling, the hostages hadn't even noticed her presence. She raised the M-16 up towards the ceiling, holding down the trigger to fire numerous shots to gain their attention. The group of them let out startled yelps, falling to the ground in fear. She let the M-16 fall to her side, and grabbed her handgun from out of her holster.

"Arturo, drop the damn gun!" Verona demanded, the frustration evident in her voice. The man always seemed to be behind every hostage uprising they had. She took a few slow steps forward, aiming her gun right at his head.
