Chapter 9: Zombies, Powers, And Birthmarks

prevously on Zombie attack...

"I don't know." P's going to kill us. I look around. I point over towards the CVS.

"You see at the entrance that there's the gate thing to keep criminals out?" Bill nods. "Well it's keeping out the zombies, we can go through the back way and get what we need." he looks at me impressed.

"Dam Pine Tree. Good Job." I shrug.

"It's what I do."

(still Dipper's POV)

We entered the CVS successfully, only to find five zombies that managed to enter the store. Bill and I hide behind the counter.

"Well, that plan kinda failed."

"No it didn't, you got us in here, we just need to get the zombies to move."

"And how do you suppose we do that?" Bill laughs

"We shoot them."

"No! We are not going to shoot zombies that aren't even attacking us."

"Well, what are we going to do then? All the supplies that we need are over there." I think for a second.

"Well I could distract them and you can get the supplies real quick."

"Oh hel no, I'll distract them you get the supplies." I roll my eyes.

"Fine, let's do it."

Bill's POV

"Fine let's do it." Pine Tree says. I nod my head. "Ready, break!" He yells. I stand and flail my hands around.

"Hey Undead creeps! Yeah, I'm talking to you! Distraction, distraction!" I yell. They start to stumble towards me. I keep my eye on Pine Tree as he stalks behind them. He had grabbed a bag from where we were hiding and started to put the stuff we needed into it. The groans from the zombies had gotten louder. Shist. I realized they were faster than I thought.

"Hey zombies! Over here!" Pine Tree yells. The zombies turn their heads and see Pine Tree and start to walk towards him. He realized what he did and looked frozen in fear. Then before I could do anything to stop them my powers reacted and knocked the zombies down. Pine Tree looked shocked but I don't think he suspected that it was me who did that. I ran over to him.

"Hey you okay?" I shake Pine Tree.

"Did-did, you see what happened?" He asked. Shist.

'Yeah I know weird right? You got everything that we need?" He nods. "Good, cause I think we should leave." He nodded again.

"Hey, you never told me the reason for your nickname." I say as I walk across the piece of wood I use to cross buildings.

"Do I really have to show you?" he asks.

"Yes you have to, I showed you the reason for mine, now you have to tell me why you like to go by Dipper." Pine Tree huffs.

"Fine It's because of this." Pine Tree sits down and I sit with him. He takes off his hat and lifts up his bangs. It's a big dipper birthmark, and let me tell you I think it's adorable. My jaw drops a small bit. "Go ahead, laugh." I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion.

"What do you mean laugh? I'm not going to laugh Pine Tree, I think it's kinda cute."

"Did you just say that you think that this is cute?" did I just say that out loud?

"No... Let's get back before P kills us." I stand up.

"Yeah, we should go." He sounded disappointed and Pine Tree's ears were tinted red, probably nothing.
