Bill's POV

I hug Dipper for a long time. I knew how it felt to lose a sibling. I had lost my twin brother Will to the zombies. He told me to save the world for him. From then on I vowed I would take any humans that I find no matter what and try to save as many people as I could. When he soaked my shirt with tears he looked up at me.

"I'm sorry," he told me. His dark brown eyes looked bloodshot. I gave him a small smile.

"It's alright. I would've done the same thing." he smiles back at me. I look at his crapped up hat. It looked like it was once blue and white and a faded blue pine tree was in the middle of it. "Come on Pine Tree, I'll take you someplace you can rest." he slowly nods and I help him up.

Time Skip brought to you by Mabel's kind spirit.

Pine Tree and I arrived at a gate. I had taken refuge at the Northwest Mansion with Will when it had happened. It had enough space to house many people. Pine Tree looked at it in awe. I laugh.

"Oh shut up," he grumbled.

"Shutting up. Let's go." I open the long tall gate. Pine Tree walks inside and I close the gate behind us. I'm greeted by Pyronica.

"Bill where have you been? You had us worried sick!" I scoff her off.

"Calm down P, I was just saving this kid here." I point to Pine Tree. He gives a small wave. She hadn't even noticed him. She glares at me.

"Hi, I'm Pyronica, you can call me P." she sticks her hand out and Pine Tree takes it.

"Mason, but I go by Dipper." he gives her a smile and she nods.

"Welcome to the Refuge, I take it that Bill will show you around. See you at dinner." and with that, she walks away, but not before she gives me another dirty look.

"She's..." he starts.

"Strange." I finish for him. He nods. "Come on, I'll show you around. We walk inside and a cool breeze greets us. The Northwests had a solar power system so we had enough power for many things. He looked like he was trying to figure out how there was electricity. "Solar panels, the Northwests wanted to pay less for electricity so they installed solar panels."

"Well, I guess they were good for something," he says. I let out a small laugh agreeing with him. I grab him by the wrist, making him blush.

"Come on, let me show you where you'll stay." I run dragging Pine Tree with me. I led him up the stairs on the west side second floor.

"Slow down Bill! You'll make me trip!" he yells as we reach the top.

"Don't worry Pine Tree. We're here."

"Why do you keep calling me Pine Tree, why can't you call me Dipper like everyone else?" he asks. I smiled

"Because I give everyone a nickname when I feel like there's a good one for them at least. And you, have a good nickname in store for you." I say pointing at his hat. "You should wash that you know. I'll even help you if you want." I lead him to his room. "This is your room, mine's next store. Come on, let's wash that hat and get you some new clothes."

"Okay, thanks, Bill." so I lead him inside and show him the closet. It was full of clothes, he looks at it in awe once more.

"Yeah I ransacked the mall before it was filled with zombies, there also was a storage room filled with clothes." that was somewhat true, the mall was filled with zombies when I got there, but I have my ways. I make Pine Tree go and take a shower while I grab clothes out of the closet for him to choose to wear. I grab jeans, shorts, jackets, different color flannels, and t-shirts. I knock on the bathroom door when I hear the water turn off. I wait for about ten seconds when Pine Tree opens the door enough that I can see his face.

"Yeah?" he asks I look away so I don't blush. He looked a lot cleaner than he did when I first saw him. His brown curls were dripping with water. He looked kinda cute.

"I, uh, brought you um, some uh, clothes to choose to, um, wear," I say nervously. He takes the clothes out of my hands.

"Thanks," he says softly, "I'll see you in a sec." he smiles as he closes the door. I put my hand on my forehead. Holy crap. I was not crushing on a guy I just met not even two hours ago. I go and lay down on the bed and wait for Pine Tree, and to rethink my life choices.

Thank you for reading. I just crapped up my knee and it hurts really bad. Any who, Again I am opened to suggestions. I hope that you keep reading my story though it is a little crappy.
