I was completely and utterly intoxicated by Ty. My brain and body were drunk on him and despite taking a very cold shower, I had to hold myself back from finishing the job he'd started. And that was not something I'd ever done before, but I was flipping tempted. If he didn't take me soon, I was going to die from a hunger I wasn't even aware I needed to survive.
He can only resist your innocence for so long. Don't let him.
Luna's voice quietly whispered in my mind.
Get out of there, I demanded. Angry I'd let my guard down and frustrated Luna had decided she should join my thoughts. And then again, maybe I needed an experienced woman's input.
No. I was not talking to Luna about having sex with Tyron, I felt my body flush in a light shade of pink at just the thought.
He'll awaken your essence once you've bonded. I won't be able to intrude nearly as often.
Once again I had to finger the pendant I wore at all times, even in the shower, to block her out and put my mind on lockdown.
Wiping the mirror clean, I took a good long look at the woman facing me. She had a healthy glow and wore a subtle grin, one that was rarely missing nowadays. I almost didn't recognize her anymore, but it wasn't a bad thing. The painfully shy girl was slowly disappearing and a more confident, proud woman was taking her place. Maybe Luna was right, maybe I'd let Ty believe I wanted to remain innocent. Welp, that just won't do.
From the moment I walked out of the bathroom, wrapped in only a plush powder blue towel to the time we made our entrance into the family dining hall, I'd done my best to entice Ty any way I knew how. I let him watch me as I applied a vanilla-scented cream to my legs before urging him to shower himself. I'd done my hair up in a messy bun and braids to keep my locks off my neck. I'd dabbed a rose-scented oil on my pressure points. I'd allowed him to walk in on me getting dressed, clad in only a lacy bra and panties I'd found.
Black.
And Ty knew my thoughts on that.
"Faye, you're doing yourself no favors right now," I recalled him scolding me.
I responded by shrugging my shoulders as I turned my back to him to pull a purple dress over my head and down my body. It was made of a light and flowy material that clung to my body in all the right places, the long sleeves draped off my shoulders and the dress fell to just below my knees. My neck, chest, and shoulders were completely bare save for my pendant. I'd also chosen a pair of gladiator style sandals, the delicate laces wrapped up my legs.
Ty was in for one hell of a ride tonight.
As Ty and I made our entrance into the family dining hall, our hands intertwined, we were greeted by Luna and Willa who immediately fawned over my dress and hair.
"Doesn't she just look ravishing, Tyron?" Luna grinned at Ty with a wink.
Looking up at Ty expectantly, I watched as he licked his bottom lip and nodded his head in agreement, his hand snaking up and resting on the back of his neck.
"Oh and look at Ekar Thorn, dressed up in a collared shirt with buttons. So handsome," Willa added.
Handsome wasn't quite the word I would have used. Tempting was more like it. Ty was wearing a black button-down shirt, the sleeves rolled up showing off his forearms and grey slacks that hugged his hips just right. Yum! He'd also gone without his knit cap this evening and his tousled hair looked as if he'd styled it that way. I wanted to run my fingers through it.
Luna was all but glowing as she clapped her hands together and gave me a quick hug.
"Good kusanar everyone," she greeted the room as she directed us towards two seats at the head of the table, near where she would be sitting. The opposite end of the table where I presumed Artie would sit was empty as well as the two seats flanking him. Artie and two of the long-standing Dofida guards had gone on a mission. I'd expected them to have returned by now.
