After our very relaxing bath, Ty let me get dressed while he cleaned up all the glass littered across the entire floor from all of the blown light bulbs. He'd explained to me his essence felt stronger than usual and chalked it up to the Jalar dust. "Looks like I didn't just rock your world, huh baby?" he'd joked as he ran a bar of soap across my back. I guess it made sense. That shit was more powerful than he'd let on and had left me feeling quite languid last night when he'd made love to me.
A memory of last night drifted through my thoughts, making me grin. Ty and I had made love. It'd hurt, a little more than I'd expected it to, but Ty took care of me as I knew he would. He was gentle and tender when he needed to be and most definitely did not suck. Man, I needed to get a grip on my worries, had I really said that?
As I slipped a sheer black tank top over a pair of khaki capris, Ty walked into the dressing area and leaned up against the door frame. It was the 6th day of the week, Sterday, the Human equivalent of Saturday. Luna didn't have me study on Sterday or Sunday...and yes, Sunday was the same here. She usually let me read or spend time wandering the gardens so I didn't think it was necessary to wear my uniform if I wasn't acting as her apprentice today.
"Have you been ignoring Luna?" Ty asked, his brow slightly furrowed.
I'd noticed the few times he'd been in thought about something, something tugged at the corner of my mind. I was trying to figure out if this new feeling was him or something else. It was giving me a bit of a headache and I'd built wall after wall to keep it away, but it was futile. Any wall I built, no matter how high or thick wasn't keeping this presence at bay.
"No?" I slipped my feet into a pair of black flats and wandered out of the large closet. "She bothering you?"
Slipping his hands into his pockets, he chewed on his lip while a gentle throb knocked at the back of my mind.
"She's requested we join her for breakfast with the rest of the household, said she can't get you to listen to her."
Tilting my head to the side, I found myself just as confused as Ty looked.
"I'm not blocking her out, I can't keep a wall up today. I'm getting a headache from trying. It's got to be mid-morning, everyone should've already had breakfast?"
Oh God, please tell me Luna didn't plan a surprise 'you've had sex party.' I would die!
Ty burst out laughing and shook his head. Had I said that out loud?
"Let's go babe, see what she's got up her sleeve."
As we made our way downstairs, the stairway was darker than usual and Ty noted more bulbs were blown. Nodding my head, I agreed. It was strange; this place must keep stock of lightbulbs if numerous matings are happening here.
Pulling my hair over my shoulder, I threw it in a quick braid noticing it was getting to be way too long for my liking, "Hey babe, what would you think if I cut my hair? I'm not used to it getting this long."
'But I like your long hair.'
"I know, I like it long too...but I'd like to get it trimmed up. Do you think Willa would be willing to help me?"
Nodding his head, Ty gripped my right hand into his left and when our palms connected, I felt a small jolt run through my fingertips, "Whatever you want, Katinar. I'm sure you'd look lovely bald."
'Okay, I wouldn't dig a chick without hair, but Faye would probably rock that look.'
Squeezing his hand I just shook my head and grinned. As we made our way into the kitchen, we found the entire household was grabbing food from the counter in the middle of the room which was set up buffet style. We rarely ate breakfast together, but Senna had food at the ready around 8:30 when people started milling in. There was an odd energy in the room as everyone bustled around quietly, almost like they were walking on eggshells.
