After lunch, I helped Senna and Maya clean up the kitchen before making my way back to the workshop. I hadn't answered whether or not I wanted to go tonight. The spiteful part of me wanted to tell Ty to go ahead with Rune...and Aja, but the better part of me knew to keep my mouth shut.
'It's harmless, baby. You know she doesn't have many friends here now.'
I neglected to respond, despite wanting to remind him how he'd lost his shit on Nero for just a simple hug. I knew his argument better than he did at this point, and I'm sure he knew mine regarding the whole 'having friends' comment.
"Catch," Luna tossed the dagger at me as I made my way into the greenery portion of the workshop. Quickly raising my shield and as soon as the blade bounced off the barrier, I dropped it. She was no longer throttling things at me, but still wanted to make sure my reflexes were growing.
Tending to my rambutan fruit, Luna wandered over and propped her hip against my workbench.
"What's troubling you about this evening?"
"Hmm? Nothing. It's just not my scene," I commented, not wanting to think about it. Clubs and partying and drinking were much more Anne's scene, not mine. I'd always been a homebody.
"It's not, or it wasn't? I don't recall you going out on the town at all since you've arrived."
Glaring at Luna, I huffed, "It wasn't. And we haven't."
Clipping a few dead leaves off my plant, I picked a ripe fruit and examined it, enjoying the feel of the long hairs against my hands. The custard plant's leaves were sharp until ripe when they turned soft and silky.
I hadn't realized Luna had walked out of the room until she returned, shoving a small white satin bag in front of me, "Here, it's something Artie has been working on for you."
Putting my cutters down, I turned and leaned up against the table, "Artie?"
"Yes, he sees you as his own as well, you know," she nodded towards the small satchel in my hands. Tugging the strings, I flipped the small bag over, and two dark blue studs dropped into my palm. They reminded me of the milky way as they glinted in the afternoon light.
"They're beautiful," I looked up at Luna, my eyes welling with unshed tears. No one had ever given me jewelry like this before, especially not my own father. These two, Artemis and Luna, tugged on my heartstrings quite frequently.
"They're similar to your moon pendant; they should mask your janda'hai. We realized wearing that necklace might cause some difficulty down the road, and earrings won't get in the way."
"Thank you," I grinned, giving her a quick hug before she started to exit the room.
"Oh, and tonight would be a great night to try them out! I believe there is a dress in your wardrobe they would go perfectly with," she winked before quickly stepping through the door.
'Damn it, Luna.'
'Everything alright, Katinar?'
'I guess we're going out tonight.'

Sometime in the late afternoon, Senna came to fetch me from the workshop so we could get dressed for our night out. Rune and Ty had agreed to leave the fourth floor unoccupied, so the two of us could have 'girly time.'
After browsing my closet, we found a midnight blue dress adorned with gold stars and moons along with a pair of dark blue heels that matched the earrings Artie had created for me. The short a-line dress had a high neck covered in tulle that wrapped around my neck in gold beading. Of course, elven women didn't have the type of cleavage I did, which worked in my favor as the tight bodice pushed my breasts up. Despite being covered in the see-through material, they were still quite noticeable. The dress flared out a bit from my hips and fell just above my knees. It'd been so long since I'd had to dress up, I worried I'd forgotten how to walk in stilettos. A few quick laps around the floor told me I was going to be just fine.
As Senna helped me pull my hair up off my neck, I removed my amulet, and although she was concerned at first, she made sure my ears were completely covered with a low braided messy twist, a few tendrils pulled out to frame my face. As soon as I had the earrings clasped, I heard her breathe a sigh of relief.
"They work," she grinned. "I can't even tell you're...you!"
It was still strange for Senna to spend her days with a human, but she was slowly getting used to it. She tended to ask me a lot of questions about life on Earth and wondered what it would be like for her to visit there with me sometime. I didn't play into those thoughts, simply because I didn't even know if and when I'd be able to return.
Senna, the petite beauty that she was, wore a sleek black sheath style dress that wrapped her figure gorgeously. Her pale skin against the dark material made her absolutely glow. We pulled her long silver-streaked hair into a side half-plait that curled down her shoulders. With just a splash of red on her lips, she was an utter vixen.
"Nero's going to lose it when he sees you," I nodded, standing behind her as we both gazed into the vanity. Her blush was so bright I was afraid she'd be warm to the touch. "You're gorgeous, Senna."
"You're too kind, Faye. Much too kind."
As I stood and straightened my dress, I tilted my head in thought. I felt over-dressed. The clubs back home were meant for slinky clothing; I felt like I was attending a formal event.
"What's wrong?" Senna asked as she stood at the door to my bedroom, waiting to leave.
"Do you feel like this is all a bit too much?"
"Not with the way Ty's going to lose it over your legs," she winked as a shocked expression settled across my face.
"Senna!"
Making our way down towards the parlor arm-in-arm, Ty reached out to me.
'How much longer? We're all waiting on the two of you.'
'All good things come to those who wait.'
As the two of us rounded the second-floor landing, I felt a sweeping sense of desire flood through my mind before a twinkle of annoyance trailed behind. Aja, of course, was already standing far too close to Ty for my liking prattling on about how handsome he looked, and she couldn't wait to dance with him.
Nero let out a catcall, making both Senna and I blush.
"Damn, Shorty's got legs," Rune nudged Ty.
'That she does, and I like those legs wrapped around my...'
"Why thank you, Rune, you don't look half bad yourself," I cut Ty off even though my core clenched at his shared thought. "It seems my Mate has a date already, do you mind?"
Walking past Ty, I reached up and gave Rune a quick peck on the cheek.
"I've never been into Earth girls, but you may have just changed my mind," Rune joked quietly into my ear as Ty glared at the two of us.
"And that's about enough of that," Ty gripped my wrist and tugged me into his arms. "I don't share."
"Either do I," I glared at Ty and then down to Aja, who quickly turned and marched off in a huff.
'And you'll do well to remember that if you ever want another blow job.'
