As the cold chill reclaimed the space surrounding me, and all visions faded away, I held my finger to my lips while my other hand rested on the spot just above my bellybutton. I could still feel Ty's hands on my body, could still taste his kiss on my lips. All of my senses were on fire from being able to touch him, hear him, see him, smell him. I felt drunk in my euphoric state.
Although I know he hadn't actually been in Mal's apartment, he'd seen where she lived. I was far from impressed with his accommodations and fully intended to inform Luna that forcing my Mate and his best friend to sleep in the slums of Seran for a week was unacceptable. She could've gone for a less seedy place.
Regardless of the concern I had when I'd seen where he was staying, his reaction to viewing a replay of my brother-in-law loving on my sister had my ovaries nearly bursting into flames. I doubt he had any idea what he'd done to my heart at that moment. Or my lady bits for that matter. I'd instantly felt heat rush to my southern region, and if the way he was pressing against my thigh were any indication, I'd say his arousal had spiked as well.
As my heart rate began to decrease and return to a more steady rhythm, I took a moment to thank Elune for her blessing. Whether this was a side effect of our link or simply a wonderful gift to tide us over until we were back in each other's arms, I was forever grateful. If Ty truly found me in my dreams each night, even for a short while, I could survive this week. I still missed the hell out of him, but a taste was all I needed.
The rest of the night, I slept much more peacefully than my first night back on Earth. I slept so well, in fact, I didn't hear my phone ringing when Artie tried calling me sometime around eight on Wednesday morning.
"Snookums," I heard the husky voice of my best friend calling out to me, "it's close to ten. How long are you going to stay in bed?"
Cracking one eye open, I groaned despite feeling the smile plastered across my face, "I don't want to get up."
And that was the truth. I could hardly wait to fall back asleep tonight to see if Ty really would be waiting for me.
"You know, I never realized you smile in your sleep. It's fucking creepy," Mallory crawled into the pull-out couch with me and snuggled under my covers. "Wait, were you having a wet dream, is that why you were grinning like a psychopath? Do I need to clean my sheets?"
Her insinuation made a delightful thought trickle into my mind, and I wondered what dream sex would be like, how would it affect my body as I slept.
'Hmmmm...'
"Your shirt smells good...or I should say, Ty's shirt smells good. It's stronger than I remember from last night. What kind of cologne does he wear?" Mallory asked, her head resting beneath my chin as I wrapped my arms around her. Smashing my lips together, I attempted to hold back a giggle that forcefully worked it's way up my throat and into the air. Shaking my head, I ran my fingers through her soft hair and pulled it behind her ear before dropping a kiss to the top of her head.
"He doesn't, that's pure Tyron Thorn."
"Damn," Mallory purred. "You're a lucky bitch."
"Mmhmm," I agreed, stroking her scalp as the butterflies in my stomach floated around, making me feel excited and anxious for tonight.
"You know, you could probably bottle his sweat up and make a fortune. We could call it Sins of a Man," Mal suggested just as a loud clap of thunder sounded from outside. It had been so viciously loud, I would have sworn the building had been hit by lightning.
"Shit, that was close," I commented as Mallory propped up on her elbow and gazed out the large floor to ceiling window covering one wall of the living room. She had black lace curtains pulled halfway closed so we could still see the dark storm rolling in.
