You knew from the moment that you climbed into your x-wing to go to Jakku with Poe that something was going to go wrong. Something always went wrong. There was never an easy mission.
When your psycho ass younger brother decided that he needed to drop by, your gut feeling was proven to be true. There was nothing that you could do to persuade your younger brother. He was too far gone, pulled to far in by the dark side. Kylo was cold and calculating, but he was also reckless, and willing to fight at any time. So when your dumbass husband decided he needed to be sarcastic, you knew it could possibly be the end for the both of you.
The both of you were taken into his ship and were cuffed to separate chairs.
"You just had to say something, didn't you." You struggled against your restraints.
"Well he wasn't talking! He was just staring at us awkwardly, what did you want me to do?" Poe shot back.
"You could've stayed quiet! Maybe then we would've had more time to stay alive."
"He's your brother! Convince him to keep us alive. Nobody has lost that much humanity to want to kill their sister."
"You don't understand Poe. I've seen what's inside his head. Kylo doesn't even see me as his sister anymore. I'm nothing out a source of information to him now." You tried to explain to your husband your fear of your brother. Poe sighed.
"Y/N, what are we going to do?" He sounded hopeless.
"Don't let him get into our heads."

You screamed at the trooper, begging him to stop. He was hurting Poe, and you couldn't take seeing anymore did it. The stormtrooper pulled away, and Poe's body slumped. Tears were streaming down your face.
"Ren will be here soon, and when he is, the two of you better be ready to talk. Otherwise he's going to have to use different tactics that the both of you won't like." The stormtrooper left the room and you sobbed.
You called out to Poe, trying to get him to wake up. It was no use. The both of you had been put through so much. But Poe kept saying things to the trooper to get him to stay away from you. You hated how he did that. You cried silently as you waited for Kylo to come back and finish what the trooper had started.
As soon as Kylo stepped into the room, he had already opened your mind. You fought him as hard as you could. The screams woke up your husband and he yelled at your brother, trying to make him stop. You cried out in pain as Kylo pushed into your mind further.
"Tell me where it is! Show me!" You brother growled. You screamed again.
"Never!"
He used the force to throw your head back against your chair. You were sweating and you could feel yourself weakening.
"Stop! Stop! Leave her alone!" Poe pleaded. "Do me! Just please stop hurting her!" Kylo weakened his penetration and turned to Poe.
"It's funny, husband and wife. Too bad that one of you has to watch the other die. But we can compromise if you show me!" He slammed your head back against the chair again. The torture only lasted a few more minutes, but it felt like hours. Kylo stopped though, when he realized he would get nothing out of you. He turned to Poe.
"I had no idea we had the best pilot in the Resistance on board. Comfortable?"
"Not really." Poe spat back.
"I'm impressed. No one has been able to get out of you what you did with the map. My sister here, I can understand, but you? A petty pilot with no strength in the force. Why haven't you broken yet?" Kylo was being calculating.
"You might wanna rethink your tactics."
Kylo pushes into Poe's mind.
"Where is it?"
"The resistance will not be intimidated by you!" Poe replied.
"Where... is it?" Poe began to scream. You cried out. Seeing Poe go through that pain was torture for you. Suddenly Poe's screaming stopped and he fell into unconsciousness. Your brother stepped away.
"I've found it." He said triumphantly. "And the resistance will fall."
"Not as long as hope remains alive. You can never snuff out the light that our mother has given the people."
"Watch me." You brother walked out of the room and the door shut with a whoosh. You turned to Poe and begged for him to wake up.
"Please Poe!" Suddenly a stormtrooper walks into the room.
"Ren wants the prisoners."
"Like hell he does! You aren't taking us anywhere!" You yelled at him.
"Shut up!" He said harshly. The other trooper in the room unshackled you both. The storm trooper grabbed Poe's arm, who was just now coming back into consciousness.
"You make any sudden moves or sounds, I blast him. Got it?" He explained shoving his blaster into Poe's side. You glared at the trooper but nodded relentlessly. You grabbed onto Poe's hand as the trooper led you out of the room.
"Poe, are you ok?" You asked him, squeezing his hand.
"Never better sweetheart." He replied giving you a strained smile. You knew he was doing it to make you feel better, but it made you feel worse. Poe has taken more of the torture than you had, and you couldn't imagine the amount of pain he was going through.
"Turn here." The trooper instructed Poe and we turned down a narrow hallway. Suddenly, he stopped us.
"Listen carefully. If you do exactly as I say, I can get you out of here." He whispered quickly.
"If- what?"
The trooper pulled off his helmet.
"This is a rescue. I'm helping you escape. Can either of you fly a TIE fighter?"
"Are you with the resistance?" Poe asked.
"Did my mother send you?" You cut in. The trooper glanced between the two of you confused.
"Mother? Resistance? What? No, no no. I'm breaking you out. Can you fly-"
"Poe can fly anything." You cut him off.
"Why are you helping us?" Poe questioned him.
"Because it's the right thing to do."

"Nice shot!" Poe praised Finn. You cheered as Poe made his course back to Jakku.
"Where are you going?" Finn questioned.
"We're going back to Jakku, that's where." Your husband replied.
"No no no! We can't go back to Jakku. We need to get out of this system!" Finn argued.
"Listen, we have a droid there." You tried to explain.
"We need to get to it before the first order does." Poe explained further.
"A droid?"
"That's right! A BB unit. Orange and white, one of a kind!"
"I don't care what color it is! No droid can be that important."
"Well this one is alright!" You said.
"We need to get as far away from the first order as we can! We go back to Jakku, we die!"
"This droids got a map that leads straight to Luke Skywalker!" Poe defended.
"Oh you gotta be kidding-" suddenly you were hit. The TIE fighter went spiraling out of control straight towards the surface of Jakku. You screamed and just before the ship impacted, Poe grabbed you and you went flying out of the ship.
Then everything was black.

"Baby! Y/N, can you hear me! Come on, wake up!" You groaned as Poe shook you shoulders. You gasped as an immense pain shot through your abdomen. You curled into a fetal position and cried out.
"Y/N?" Worry thick in Poe's voice. "Y/N, is everything alright?"
"No," you gasped out. You knew exactly what had happened. You never should've agreed to come on this mission. There was a high risk of this happening, but you thought everything would be fine.
"Make contact with the base!" You told your husband.
"I'm on it. What's going on baby, talk to me?" He quickly switched on his com link and made a connection with the base. He signaled for help using the distress code and turned back to you. You began crying from the pain.
"Poe, I'm so sorry." You sobbed.
"Y/N, your scaring me. Tell me what's happening." You reaches for his hand, and he pulled you into his arms.
"My baby." You cried out. "It hurts Poe." Poe stood up and carried you bride style.
"Baby? Y/N?"
"It hurts," you repeated.
"Y/N are you pregnant?"
"I'm so sorry." You whimpered.
"Oh my god. We gotta get you back. Hold tight baby."

"Fortunately, Mrs. Dameron, the baby is fine. But you did take quite a hard hit, and it would be best if you stay here and rest." The doctor explained. Relief flooded over you. Poe gripped your hand tightly.
"Thank you Doctor." You breathed out. The doctor nodded and left the room.
"Y/N..."
"I know Poe, I'm sorry. I should've told you. I thought everything would be fine but-"
Poe cut you off my kissing you. He pulled away with a big smile on his face.
"This is the best day of my life." He whispered, brushing the hair out of your face. You smiled and kissed your husband again.
"Granted, the circumstances of me finding out could've been a little better, but I'll take it nonetheless." He crawled into the bed with you and hugged you tightly to his chest.
"We're gonna have a family y/n." You breathed in contently, enjoying the warmth of your husbands arms.
"I'll win this war for you and for the baby. We'll live in peace, and be happy, and never have to worry about anything." Poe murmured in your ear.
"Promise?"
"I promise."

"Where's Poe?" You cried in agony.
"Someone find Mr. Dameron!" One of the nurses shouted out.
"Commander Dameron is still out on his mission with Rey and Finn. He hasn't returned yet." Someone explained. You screamed out in pain as another contraction took over your body.
"Get him in here as soon as he gets back!" The Nurse instructed. Your Mother, General Organa, was sitting at your side, gripping your hand tightly. The contraction subsided and you breathed heavily.
"Mom, I swear, if he doesn't make it-"
"Don't worry y/n, he'll make it." She reassured you. Another contraction began and you whined in pain.
"The contractions are becoming closer together. You are almost ready to push Mrs. Dameron." The nurse told you.
"I'm not doing anything until my husband gets here!" You growled. The contraction yet again subsided, and you were pain free for a few minutes. Just as another one began to start, your husband burst through the door, frantic.
"I'm here!"
"Well it's about time!" Your mother said getting up from her seat beside you and letting Poe take her place.
"I'm sorry I'm late baby." He apologized as he grabbed your hand, holding it tightly. You groaned in pain in response.
"Mrs. Dameron, you're fully dilated. When the next contraction comes, be ready to push."
"Are you ready Y/N?" Your husband asked you rubbing your arm comfortingly.
"Been ready for about three hours now, thanks for asking." You replied. You felt another contraction and nurses began to encourage you to push.
The pain was unbearable. What lasted minutes felt like hours. Your probably broke a couple of Poe's fingers but he wasn't complaining. By the time you were done, you had a beautiful baby girl to call your daughter.
"She's perfect." Poe breathed out as he held her in his arms. You smiled as you watched your husband cuddle your child.
"I'm glad you're here. I was afraid you weren't gonna make it." You said to him.
"What? And miss the opportunity to meet our daughter? Not a chance in the galaxy." He replied. You yawned and rubbed your eyes tiredly.
"I'm so sleepy." You mumbled.
"So then sleep, you deserve it. I'll watch over the both you and protect you."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
