Dancing in the Rain

"Poe! Are you coming?" You giggled as you called out to your boyfriend. He was standing on the front porch of your house as he watched you twirl around in bliss. He smiled as he watched your movements, wanting to memorize how beautiful you looked in this moment.
"I don't know y/n, isn't this kind of childish?" He teased you. You spun around to face and dropped your arms with a pout in your face. It lit back up almost instantly though when you saw that he trying desperately to hold back a laugh.
"Well you know me, a child at heart." You retorted and spun around once more. "Please come dance with me Poe." You held your hand out to him. He sighed and reluctantly walked out from the dryness of the porch to take it in his own.
"Only for you sweetheart."
He twirled you, and dipped you, making you giggle. The water in his hair dripped down in your face, splashing you in the eyes. You blinked the water away and he pulled you back up into a standing position. He held you close and the both of you swayed back and forth contently.
"Whose idea was it again to come outside during a thunderstorm?" He asked you breaking the silence between the two of you. You smiled up at him sweetly.
"Never miss an opportunity to dance in the rain Poe."
"How did I get so lucky?" He mumbled. He slowly leaned down and kissed you sweetly. Pulling away, he rested his forehead on yours and you continued to sway.
"Would you have ever done this if you hadn't met me?" You asked him, resting your head on his chest.
"It never would've even crossed my mind." He replied truthfully.
"Well it's a good thing you met me then. You never would've truly realized how euphoric it feels."
"Every moment that I'm with you is euphoria." He whispered. You stared up at him with wide eyes. He drank you in, memorizing every detail of this moment.
"I love you y/n." You had stopped swaying now and were just standing in the rain staring at each other.
"I love you too Poe." They two of you kissed again, savoring every second.
"You can pull me into the rain to dance anytime." He said after you pulled away again.
"I'll hold you to that promise Dameron."
