Ignore the mistakes

The alarm soon went blaring, waking up Taehyung in a flash. He quickly turns off the alarm, getting up and sliding into his slippers. He didn't feel like changing because, what was the point?

It's 1 something AM he doesn't need to change at midnight.

With caution, Taehyung slowly opens his door, look around the cold long and wide hallway of the palace just in case.

Deciding that the coast was clear, Taehyung made his way towards Jin's temporary room to meet up with him.

Taehyung was excited and nervous to say the least. He didn't know what exactly they'll plan or if they would even come up with one.

That thought scared him. He didn't want to stay in this toxic environment. Leaving is the best choice for him and Jeongguk.

They just need the help to get out.

His steps were quite as he walks down the hallways that bounces of the eco of sounds.

Taehyung softly sighs with his soft hand caressing his swollen stomach. His body warm of the feeling of his baby.

He was close to Seokjin's door until a figure walks down the hallway, tall and dark. The same shape as Taehyung's father.

Taehyung freezes, turning around to see his father with raised eyebrows and...soft eyes?

He spoke up, "Taehyung? You supposed to be sleep right now. It's not healthy to be up this late," he said, his voice soft. Something that Taehyung hasn't heard since he was a child.

"What's up with the sudden change?" Taehyung asked himself. The omega let's out a breath he didn't know he was holding and came up with a complete lie to his father.

"I–I was just going to the garden. I haven't been there in a long time and plus, I'm not tired," Taehyung says.

"I'll try to go back to sleep soon before meeting—"

"Okay, Just—Just sleep well," Sung-dae said. Taehyung looks at his father suspicious.

By the looks and feels of it, the king seems to be avoiding the topic of Taehyung meeting his "groom". Why though?

His father's eyes were unreadable so he had no idea what had him change so soft and....nice. Was it because Sung-dae was done being in his mother's shadow?

So many questions that Taehyung has no answers to.

"I'll go back to bed. Goodnight, son.."

"Night..." Taehyung waited until Sung-dae was out of sight before twisting the door nob to Jin's door.

Jin was sitting up on his bed, quickly sending his mate a text before putting his phone down and moving his attention to Taehyung.

"I made snack pack for Jeongguk," He says with a grin. Taehyung smiles, grabbing the brown bag that was on the bedside dresser.

"He would love this."

"Of course he would. It's my cooking after all," Jin smirks, winking.

Taehyung shakes his head and carefully sits down on Jin's bed.

(Istfg, if my phone autocorrect me on Jin's name to Jim or June one more time—)

"Before we go, my father just did something odd. Like, he was talking to me so softly and avoided talking about the meet up," Taehyung said with furrowed brows.

"Did this happen just now?" Jin questions. Taehyung nodded his head, face blank.

Jin was confused himself about what Taehyung has told him. All he's every seen was the king so cold and....a slave to the queen.

Jin hummed, smiling a bit about it. He had hope that Sung-dae would change.

"I'm ready to go to my mate now," Taehyung said quietly, wobbling to the door. He was big for being two months pregnant.

Jin follows, grabbing Taehyung's hand and making sure the surroundings is clear and Taehyung is safe.

And ik this chapter is short but it's short for a reason.

Sung-dae is just a made up character and y'all better be glade for that bc I almost made Chanyeol Taehyung's dad....it was for a reason though 👀
