The fighting on the front line only took four hours after the Native tribes arrived. The Bulkans and Delianians combined force loss over seventy percent of their men. Leaving only a hundred thirty-six injured. Finally, three remaining commanders surrendered and marched into the war tent the Nayos set up for Laura.
It was night now as we all walked in the tent to see Laura, Bear Claw and the Nayos chief Jonah Raven sitting together in the center of the tent. Everyone else sat in a circle around them as Louis joined Laura on her right side. Laura stood addressing the commanders of the enemy' forces all in chains awaiting judgement.
The men had some gall making crude gestures at Laura pointing to her sightless eyes. In a neutral tone Laura stood ordering all around her to stay quiet. "Greetings gentlemen I know you probably don't want small talk so lets get down to business. The terms of your surrender will be operated by me."
After she finish one man spat on the ground near her feet "We don't speak to a blind wench or negotiate with one" Hissed a man with a badly scarred face. He looked ready to rise when someone hit him in the stomach dropping him to a kneel.
"Don't talk to my cousin like that" threatened a Native man that look to be in his early twenties.
The man scowled at the Native. "We are proud men that will not bend to a woman or be ordered around by one."
"That woman brought an army that defeated your men in four hours in battle." Answered a bright haired soldier that was Laura's escort to the Nayos village. An argument erupted but Laura only cleared her throat to diffuse the situation.
"Thank you Luke and Cole but I can handle this myself " Laura looking at the bright hair soldier and the Native man. I scanned Cole remembering Laura talking about her older cousin on our way to Evergreen.
Cole had long black hair like Laura and olive brown skin with dark brown eyes that could be black. The young Native had a muscular body and a protective stance over Laura like a big brother. Huffing Cole was about to disagree, but at the sound Laura leveled a heavy glare his way shutting her cousin up.
Having control of the room again Laura tried again." Gentlemen you need to cooperate with me or all your men will be sentence for war crimes against Perta." Her voice lost its neutral tone and morph to icy.
A man with bright red hair spoke up quickly as his anger showed." Our men have nothing to do with this and killing them will bring war only with Bulka."
"Your men raided Perta which means that Bulka already declared war. Although by the sound of this the council did not sanction your invasion into Petra. Which makes you all criminals in their eyes." Laura catching the man's blunder bringing it to everyone's attention.
Seeing their error the first man scowled at Laura "The high council would have approved if we gain land. Instead we got defeated by a woman." Sneering he let out curses in a language I couldn't understand but Laura didn't seem to care in the least.
" I am sure the council will be please by your loss. I should be able to contact them on this matter in no time." Laura with a grin knowing she had the men in a tight spot.
"Alek will conquer this city and bring your kingdom to Bulka with you on your knees" roared the last man with dark hair and in his late forties. He remained quiet since their arrival letting the others speak. Now he had a cockiness to him that Laura just cackled earning curses by the Bulkans.
"Your great leader was seen fleeing in the underground tunnels that you were planning to use against us "Laura announced as all three men turn pale. "And if you're still hoping for your Naval attack to work than you are out of luck. Our Navy is the best and since there are no further attacks. You have lost every advantage you had." At that information the men's outburst quiet down finally realizing there would be no grand victory for them. Looking at them with her sightless eyes.
