I found myself laying on the floor of the room rubbing my head. A dizzy spell almost made me vomit, but I got my bearing quickly. Looking around me the once perfect room was destroyed. Windows broken and furniture in disarray like a storm hit.
Confusion and uneasiness popped into my head. It was strange the emotion didn't feel like my own. The impression was like I had someone else in my head. I felt sick with an urge to rub my stomach. Glimpsing at Sarah I saw her doing that. I realize the transfer had worked and the emotions wasn't my own but my friends. I felt Rachel's cynical mind thinking about how she will explain this mess.
"I can feel your emotions " I hugged Sarah and Rachel in happiness. They were just as stun but laughed in joy. "
"I know I even heard Rachel panicking about the state of the room" Sarah replied shocking Rachel.
"Did I say that out loud." she asked
"No, it was like your thoughts were in my head" Sarah supplied.
"This is really frightening "I said grabbing the ruby necklace on the ground. Hesitating the stone had a light glow. Instantly the emotions increased in my head once I touched the stone.
The link became stronger and I felt a sharp pull towards Laura. The Native stared at the topaz in awe and surprise written on her face.
"Laura what's wrong" Rachel said her concern transferring to us immediately. Laura looked up and stared at us making us cry. Our friend's normal glazed eyes were change into a deep brown almost black.
"I can see but it's blurry "Laura mumbled. " For the first time in my life I can see my own hands and feet.
"How" I watched Laura scanned the room in wonder. Her emotions of excitement and joy consumed me. The once levelheaded girl stared at her shoes like they were gold.
"I told you the stones can transfer powers to another." Grandma laughed leaning against the wall. She had a smile on her face gazing at Laura touching the bed. "Andy your magic was able to give Laura the ability to see for a time. "
"How I went to so many healers. They all said it wasn't possible." Laura whispered in shock now looking at grandma for the answer.
"Andy's gift is foresight but when it absorbed into your stone. It took half of her powers to give you the ability to see." Grandma revealed and my stomach dropped.
"Half of my magic is gone."
"Yes your foresight will be limited for now. You will still have your sight, but it will appear only when you are a sleep." Grandma replied.
"I still have my magic "I said relieved. My powers were a constant in my life and losing them would be awful.
"Yes, but your normal sight must be your main defense now dear." Warned grandma before turning toward Laura. "Laura your vision will be blurry, but glasses will help with that dear. Anytime you feel like your new sight is too much. Disconnect with Andy's stone and you will return to normal." Pulling out a small pair of round glasses. She placed it on Laura and our friend's view became clearer.
" You saw this" accused Laura adjusting the glasses.
"It's one of the advantages of foresight" grandma grinned.
"Of course, you knew this would work the whole time "Sarah said with a chuckle. I watch Laura adapt to her new senses. For the first time she can experience the world through her own eyes not from the words of others.
"Laura I'm so happy for you" I said as my friend just smiled before bursting into tears. In the end both of us must have resembled babies bawling.
