"Welcome to the second round for the Piston Cup season. Man last time we saw a huge upset for Jacks Storm when Jordyn McQueen came from behind and won the race. Wasn't that a treat for those who are big fans of Lightning McQueen." Bob Cutless mentioned. "We are here in Las Vegas for the second round of piston cup qualifiers. It's me Bob Cutless, and as usual I am once again joined by my broadcasting partner Darrell Cartrip."

"I can say the same. I don't even think that Storm even saw her coming Bob. She's not just fast, she's smart. And that's why everyone's saying she's going to take it this year." Darrell commented.

"Now just hold on right there, remember she has to qualify for the season." Cutless replied.

"I think if she keeps up with what she showed us yesterday I think she'll make the season for sure." Cartrip commented back. "I don't see anything stopping her from taking the season."

Out by all the trailers reporters and photographers sat outside the Rust-eze Dinoco tent waiting for the rookie Jordyn to roll out. Jordyn who was sitting in the trailer was trying to get her head in the game. Her dad had all the confidence in the world for her. She knew that her mom at home would be watching along with everyone else in town. She took a deep breath and she closed her eyes. taking her breaths she started to finally feel ready. No sooner after she finished Mack came and knocked on the side of the trailer. "Hey Jordyn. You ready?" He called out.

"Let's do this." She replied. She put her tire on the switch to open the door no sooner than it opened all the reporters and photographers started swarming her asking questions about what her plan was for this race and how she felt about others calling her the new Lightning McQueen. She saw that as no surprise, ever since she was small everyone in Radiator Springs called her that. But what she was going to do this race was an entirely different story. She found herself telling them she had no comment to say to them. and she wound up in the stadium and the stadium roared when she entered. She gave a big smile. and drove over to her pit. Her dad was waiting for her.

"Well it looks like they like you." Her dad mentioned. "You don't even look like a Rookie out there you trooper." The two of them laughed.

'Well let's just say I learned from the best." She replied. Then an engine hum came from behind her.

"Well you back for more." Jackson retorted. She backed to face.

"Well Champ." She sassed back, "I'm not giving up. I've been waiting for this moment for as long as I could remember. You aren't going to take that from me." He look at her for a minute.

"Watch me." He commented. As he drove away. She started to mouth him off. And little did she knew he was doing the same thing. Lightning started giggle a little bit, he happened to get a glimpse of Storm mouthing her off under his breath and he looked at her mouthing him off under her's. After she was done, she rolled her eyes and got back into the race.

"Don't let anything he says get to you. You know where you belong and he knows where he belongs." Lightning commented.

"Let's keep it that way." She replied. He smiled at her and she smiled back. As soon as Guido got the tires on she got onto the track Storm had settled into the poll position and she came to the side of him and whispered, "Hey Storm, where'd all your friends go." Then she took the poll position and without him looking gave a small little smirk. It looked quite childish too. She wasn't afraid of him, if anything he should be afraid of her taking his title. He would do anything to keep that champion's title for him. After that last race he wasn't going to keep it. And he knew it.

"You really want to be that way McQueen!" He shouted out.

"How long do you think you can take it." She replied. She smirked again. "All I have to say is enjoy the view." She quickly looked up and the green flag went out and the race began.
