With ten more laps to go Jordyn and Jackson battled for the lead. The Race was about to come to end with about five more laps to go. Storm tried to block Jordyn from passing him. She could see the moment she was waiting for starting to appear. She gave a small grin and looked at a small opening on the inside. Jackson looked around and couldn't find the rookie. This was her chance to get to the lead. She took that small opening, and drove through putting her tire up against the wall, she drove past the reigning champion and turned backwards to face Storm.
"Where did you come from!" He shouted. She gave him a smirk.
"From the past boy." She joked. Jordyn turned around and took off. Storm tried to catch up but Jordyn was too far ahead. The two of them pushed themselves. As they got closer Storm started inching up on Jordyn, she started inching ahead again. The finish line was getting closer and closer.
"I'm not losing to you again." He snapped. Storm came in and tried pushing her into the wall. She pushed him to keep herself from hitting the wall.
"Well that's the thing I'm full of surprises just not going to show you yet." She strained, she revved her engine and sped up passed Storm. Storm started swerving around after Jordyn sped off. The two of them raced. But Jordyn pulled ahead and took the lead. She crossed the finish line and won the race.
"You really are full of surprises." Lightning complimented.she gave a smile
"Well I'll be. I'd thought i'd never see that speed and power ever." Tex commented. Jordyn and Lightning gave a smile. The whole racing world has been taken back by the McQueens once more. Every news company at the race was huddled around Jordyn asking her how she feels for the third time in a row. Her parents were super proud of what she has been doing. She was proud of herself for doing what she's doing. All of the practice and the she had been doing and the non stop training. If only she had friends to share this moment with. School for her was hard. She was shy, she would talk to other cars occasionally but no one would talk to her back. She looked around at everyone that cheered for. It brought a bigger smile to her face.
"Nice job kid." She heard some cars say on the way to the trailer.
"Can't wait to see you next week." Others would say. She loved having people seeing for who she was and not who she should be. She was a chatter box out on that track. She loved the sport she had made friends in the racing world. She was always worried about what other cars at school thought about her. But after today she let of that go.
"Are you ready for school tomorrow, Jordyn?" Sally had asked. Jordyn turned to look at her mother.
"I shouldn't but I think after that. I should be fine." She replied.
"Let's get back home so you can get bed Missy." Sally joked.
"Okay fine." Jordyn replied. The two of them giggled. And And the Radiator Springs Racing team started driving back home.
