Everyone told me to sit down at the large table in the room as they did the same, introducing themselves to me.
"My name is Milly, the Student Council President." The blonde said.
"I'm Shirley, and I'm on the swim team!"
"I'm Rivalz, nice to meet ya!"
"And I'm Lelouch."
I stared at them for a long moment before smiling brightly; might as well play along... "It's so nice to meet you all! My name is Scarlett!"
Milly smiled at me. "You look so much prettier when you smile, Scarlett." She commented. "Anyways, I know you're new here, but it's required you join at least one school activity."
"But what'll she join?" Asked Rivalz, looking clueless.
"I know! She can be the female Vice President, after Lulu!" Shirley smiled.
"That's a great idea, Shirley." Milly smiled. "Then it's settled. Scarlett is our female Vice President."
I looked over to Lelouch as he was looking bored as ever, sighing softly. A small smile curved onto my lips as I spoke up. "Umm, Lelouch?" His eyes trailed over to mine. "You look a little bored. How about we play a little game?"
"And what game do you suggest?"
"How about chess?" His eyes lit up at that as he straighten up a bit.
"But why don't we make a little bet too?" He smirked. "If I win, you tell me who you are..."
"And if I win, I keep quiet."
"Deal." He said with a confident smirk before leading me over to his chess set.
As the game began, it was going in Lelouch's favor, but in truth, that was my plan. After he moved a piece, I grabbed my King, setting it in front of his. "Checkmate." The game lasted a mere four to five minutes as Lelouch was shocked.
"H-how!? How did you beat me? No one has ever defeated me..." He said, looking up at me.
"It's called strategy." I said as I got up.
"Scarlett?" Milly asked.
"Hmm?" I hummed, turning to her.
"Since you live here, have Lelouch show you around, okay?"
"Sure." I said as Lelouch and I walked out of the room.
Suddenly, Lelouch pushed me into a wall. He obviously knew that we were alone as he put an hand next to my head. I opened my eyes only to meet deep, violet ones again. "Lelouch? What's wrong?"
"You." He answered simply.
"What?"
"You intrigue me. I've been playing chess ever since I can remember and no one has defeated me, so why could you?"
My heart pounded against my chest. What should I tell him? I swallowed hard before answering. "Because I know strategy..."
Lelouch smirked. "I like you... You're different than everyone else... Would you care to join me and Rivalz tomorrow?"
"Umm, okay?"
"Good. Meet us at the front entrance gate tomorrow morning at 7:30 am sharp."
I nodded. "Now, are you gonna continue showing me around?" I asked.
He took a step back, lowering his arm. "Follow me."
I'm so sorry for the shortness! Please forgive me! The next chapter will be longer, I promise!
