Ch.11 Pointless Save

If I had it my way, I'd let them die... As it is, yes, she is my best friend, however...in the end, she will do nothing but betray me, Suzaku too. The only reason I'm doing this is for Lelouch's sake, but mostly for Nunnally. I wish for a better world, yes, but from the way the story has gone, it is not at all as I plan... Regardless of how I feel, it won't matter in the end because when it comes down to it, I shall take the sword for Zero, not him. And if that is to happen, everything shall restart from when I first arrived. All memories will be erased, but that I cannot help...

As a sigh escaped my lips, I clipped my cape onto my shoulders, ready to greet Kallen and Ogi who were the only two to show up. "I see, so just you two then?" Asked Lelouch.

"I'm sorry, we just need a little more time." Ogi began. "If more people knew, then--"

"No, you two will do just fine." I cut in.

Kallen gasped before glaring. "That's ridiculous! There'll be too many of them!"

"With your help, clearing the task at hand will be mere child's play." He held out a photo. "We'll need this by tomorrow; all that matters is the exterior."

As I remembered that, I stepped into the car behind Lelouch as Kallen drive. Right on time. Jeremiah has just ordered his halt. Everything is going according to plan. Kallen stopped the car as I knew she was nervous, especially considering the inside looks terrible, but like Lelouch said, all that matters was the exterior that we have faked of Prince Clovis' and Princess Minako's personal transport.

"You dare desiccate his highnesses personal transport!?" Jeremiah exclaimed. "Come out of there at once!"

I quickly snuck out from behind him to my hiding spot among the buildings around the bridge. Watching, I saw the flames begin at the bottom of the area Lelouch hid it before they traveled up at quick speed to reveal him. The crowd and everyone else gasped as Lelouch was silent before finally speaking.

"I am...Zero."

Everyone gasped again as I merely smirked to myself.

"I've had enough of this, Zero. Your little show is over." He held a gun up and fired it off as Knightmares surrounded the van, Kallen gasping as Zero's cape fanned out to reveal his purple and yellow outfit. "First thing's first, why don't you take off that mask?"

Zero lifted his hand to his mask before holding it straight up. He snapped his fingers as the back fell apart to reveal the "poison gas chamber." My smirk grew at how little they knew while I knew all...

"Wait, you don't understa--ahh--ahh!!" Suzaku was cut off by his collar shocking him.

"Please, that's not--ugh--ahh!!" Yuki tried to get out, only to be shocked by her collar. It's funny really, especially when I know what he's thinking too.

"You bastard!" He pointed the gun at Zero.

"You intend to shoot? I think you know full well what this device can do." He said.

"Fine, what are your demands?"

"An exchange. This, for Kururugi and Tadashite."

"Like hell!" Jeremiah looked back at the two. "This man and woman have be charged with high treason of murdering Prince Clovis and Princess Minako! I can't hand them over."

"No, you're mistaken. They're no murderers. The person who killed Clovis...was myself."

"And the Princess? Did you kill her too?" Jeremiah asked.

"No." I said.

Everyone looked around. Suddenly, I jumped from my perch on a building, spinning through the air before landing next to Zero on one knee. Everyone except Kallen and Zero looked at me as I stood up. I flicked my cape to reveal my outfit. "Private Tadashite is not the murderer of Princess Minako. The one who is the killer of the Princess...is myself."

"Who the hell are you!?" Valletta exclaimed from her Knightmare.

"I am known by many names, Ms. Valletta, but all of you may refer to me...as Spectra." I held my arm out and over my stomach before bowing my head. "It is a pleasure to meet all of you, even if not for long."

"We are so screwed..." Kallen was shaking like mad.

I simply tapped my foot twice as she moved forward. "For two single Elevens, you'll save thousands of precious Britannian's. I find that to be a bargain."

Jeremiah hissed. "They're mad, I tell you! Disguising this truck as his highnesses, they will pay the price for mocking the crown!"

"Careful now. You don't wish to learn of orange, do you?" I asked.

"Orange?" Everyone asked.

"If we die, it will all go public. If you don't want that..." The patch over his eye on his mask opened as his Geass activated. "...you'll do everything in your power to let us get away, your prisoners as well."

"Right, understood." He said with red rimmed eyes. "You there, release the prisoners. Get this two over here! Hand them over, no one gets in their way!"

After Suzaku and Yuki were released, they walked over to us. "So, who are you tw--ugh!!" Yuki was cut off by the shocking of her collar.

"As I thought, they didn't let you speak..." Zero said.

I held my hand out to Yuki. She flinched a bit before I pressed something on the collar. It suddenly unhooked and fell to the floor. I then looked over to Suzaku, going over to him. He flinched as I lifted my hand towards his face, but yet again, I pressed a button as the collar fell on the ground. Kallen then came over to us from the car.

"It's time to go, Zero, Spectra." She said.

"Well then, till next time." Zero took out a small device and pressed the button on top as purple smoke shot out from the device. I then grabbed Yuki and wrapped her in my cape as we jumped off the bridge, Ogi launching a net so we could escape.

"Now you know what Britannia is like, rotten." Zero said.

"What about that gas? Those were civilians out there." Yuki said.

"A mere bluff to move things along. The result, not a single death." I said.

"So that's all you care about, the result?" Suzaku asked.

Suzaku and Yuki then went to leave as I called out to them. "Kururugi, Tadashite, before you go, let me offer you some advice. Britannia is a horrible place, built on a castle of lies. If you choose to return back to them and risk your loves, then I very well can't stop you. I have no obligation to stick around and watch you get yourself killed, so instead, I will leave this your instinct, but remember, I despise Britannia with a burning passion and will do everything in my power to bring down Britannia." I said before they left.

Fools... If they die, it's because of their simpleminded foolishness. As it is, those two will be joining school very soon, of my memory serves me correctly. But as of now, I will do everything I can to bring down Britannia. These two really get on my nerves...
