It was another day at Ashford as I was on my way to my manor, until I bumped into someone. "Oh! I'm sorry!" I said.

The person turned to me to reveal it to be a very handsome boy. He smiled at me. "That's alright, it was an accident. No harm done. My name is Kaiden Ishigawa. What is your name?"

"Oh, um, it's Kari, Kari Ayama. I'm new around here..." I said.

"Well it's nice to meet you."

I then got an idea. "Hey, um, care to play a game?"

"Game?" He asked.

"Of chess."

He thought for a moment. "Sure, why not."

I smiled happily before I lead him to where Lelouch played against me my first day here. We sat down across from each other as the game began. As it progressed, Kaiden was winning, but in truth, I only made it so he was winning as a sense of strategy. Kaiden smiled proudly, until he noticed my smirk. I lifted my King, setting it in front of his before leaning back in my seat.

"Checkmate."

He stared at the board in shock. "H-how!?"

"Funny, Lelouch said the same thing after I beat him too..." I said before standing. "Anyways, it was a great game. Thanks for playing with me, and it was nice to meet you too. See ya around." I said before leaving.

The next couple of days were a little odd... Ever since I defeated Kaiden in chess, he's been eyeing me, and it's a little creepy. I didn't tell Lelouch because I didn't want him to worry, and he's been so busy with being Zero and the Black Knights, he doesn't have time to worry about me, and I've been busy being Spectra along with one of the Black Knights, so it's been tough wrapping my head around...or at least assembling the Black Knights. Either way, we still have to prepare for our encounter with Cornelia. I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy... Whatever, I'm not gonna stress over it too much.

After school, I had changed into my casual clothes before wandering around the manor. I was quite bored since we didn't have to deal with Zero or Spectra, so I had the night off for once, and it was rather dull... But suddenly, as I was walking, my eyes were covered by some cloth. I tried to struggle, but my wrists were tied behind my back before I was dragged off. As I was dragged, I felt myself being thrown onto the floor in a room. I heard several voices, male, as I tried to make them out, but they were all jumbled together so it was difficult.

"Well, well, if it isn't the new girl, Kari Ayama." Wait, I know the voice... Kaiden?

"Kaiden? Is that you? Untie me." I said.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, Princess."

"And why not?" I asked, pushing myself to sit up.

"Because you're special, more special than anyone else at this school. I've been watching you for some time now and I can't just let you run off with Lelouch or Suzaku, now can I?" I could tell he was smirking from the tone in his voice.

"I'm not special, I'm just some new girl." I said.

"The way you beat me in chess a few nights ago says otherwise."

I growled. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you... Let me go, now!" I hate this, and since my eyes are covered, I can't use my Geass to make them let me go.
