"Lelouch! Wake up!" Milly called as she hit him in the head with a rolled up piece of paper. "You were sleeping again, weren't you?"
"No, no..."
"You're hand stopped moving!" Shirley said.
"Hey, that's what you get for ditching me yesterday!" Rivalz smiled.
"GUTS!!!" Milly shouted.
"Are you still doing that guys spell again?" Rivalz smirked.
I just rolled my eyes. Sometimes I want to put duct tape on Shirley's mouth and just flat out smack Rivalz in the freakin' face. Remind me again how I got into this damn situation...? Oh yeah... Goddamn it... Well, it sure as hell is better than being with my stepmother... Ugh...
Once class came around, we all entered as Lelouch saw Kallen talking with someone her friends. She said that the doctor told her to take it easy for a while, and I just scoffed. Even if I hadn't seen the show, you could obviously tell she was faking it. But to be fair, she is a terrorist, or to before specific, a Britannian-Eleven halfbreed. Anyhow, the whole class period was boring as ever, until I heard Rivalz talk to Lelouch.
"Hey, pal, see somethin' us like?" He smirked.
"No, it's just...she hasn't been here this whole term."
"That's Kallen Scottfield, and she's loaded! They say she's been sick but has the highest grade in all her classes! If ya ask me, she's a nice catch! You sure know how to pick 'em, buddy!"
"That wasn't what I was getting at..." Lelouch sighed as I smiled to myself. I thought it was funny how Lelouch would try to lie and end up making up some bullshit one.

When lunch came around, I sat under a shady tree, my chin on my knees as I was by myself. I then felt a pocket of air hit me as I looked over, only to see Shirley had sat next to me. "Something wrong, Scarlett?"
"Just wondering why Rivalz is such an asshole sometimes..."
"Don't mind him. He's always kind of hyper and perverted..." She frowned when she said that, but then smiled again. "Why? Do you have a crush on him or something?"
Oh god no! But I might as well do something to get her off my back... "Sure, why not..."
She suddenly stood up. "If that's the case, I'll help you get with him!"
I pounced to my feet. "No, Shirley, I was just..." But she was already gone. I dropped my extended arm. "...kidding. Damn it... Note to self, clock Shirley in the chin next time you see her."
A groan left my lips as I just walked around the grass. It was then I heard Kallen and her friends talking. They all screamed when they heard a bee and ran off. I could tell Kallen was just playing on so she didn't seem suspicious, but at the same time, she hated acting so naive. She sat down and swatted the bee, cutting it into thirds.
"Good timing, cover me." Lelouch had appeared behind and grabbed my shoulder before going over to Kallen.
"God, I hate acting like a freakin' invalid!" She said, irritated. She then saw Lelouch and quickly shoved her sandwich in her mouth.
(Sure, leave me to cover you while you do all the fun stuff... Whatever...) I thought as I rolled my eyes, turning around so my back was to them.
While I wasn't paying attention, I felt a tap on my shoulder. My gaze turned from whatever I had been looking at to see the blue haired boy, Rivalz with that odd smile on his face he always had. I exhaled a breath. "What do you want, Rivalz...?"
"Um, I just...wanted to ask you something."
"Make it quick. I have other obligations to attend to."
"Well, umm, I heard that, uh, you liked someone, and..."
(Shirley...!!) I growled in my head. She's lucky I don't use my Geass to kill her ass and then bring her back so I can deck her in the freakin' face.
"Yeah, and? Let me guess, Shirley told you, didn't she?"
"Yeah..." He said sadly. "But, umm...I-I like you to."
No, no, no, no, NO!!! Shirley!! I'm going to rip you a new asshole when I get my bloody hands on you!! Start digging you grave, because I'm gonna put you six feet in it!! I hate you, Shirley...
But suddenly, while I was busy, planning Shirley's death, Rivalz crashed his lips onto mine. My eyes went wide as he wrapped his arms around me, my arms pinned to my sides. I quickly pulled my arms free to push Rivalz away, but does as I did, I heard a gasp behind me. My whole body felt frozen before I turned around. No... No, no, no! Not like this! When I turned around, I saw Lelouch with a shocked face and heartbroken eyes staring back at me.
"Lelouch, it's not--" I tried to get out.
"So you two are together now?"
"No! Lelouch, I--"
"Sorry, I gotta go..." Lelouch cut me off again and left without another word.
"Lelouch... No..." I said. Then I remembered Rivalz was still behind me as I turned to him. "Rivalz!"
He flinched.
"Why would you believe everything someone tells you!? I just told Shirley that to get her off my back for five minutes, and when I tried to tell her, she ran off!" I sighed. "Look Rivalz, I'm sorry... There is a girl out there for you, but it's not me. I've gotta go. I'll see you around, Rivalz." I then ran off to go find Lelouch.
"Lelouch!" I called.
As I ran into the school, I looked through all the halls, but he must be so upset with me. Looking around, I felt lost... No one was in the hallway as I stared at my feet, wrapping my arms around myself.
"Scarlett?"
My head shot up to see my brother, Satoshi. He came over to me, but before he could say anything, I wrapped my arms around him. "Whoa! Hey, what's the matter?"
"I made a mistake... I don't know how to fix it..."
He wrapped his arms around me. "You'll make it right, I know you will... You always find a way."
I just buried my face in his shoulder, trying to hold my tears. What have I done?
