The next day was very...casual, I guess you could say... I was left alone for the most part, but I was very quiet most of the day as I kept to myself and held my head down so no one would bother me. Eventually, I somehow found myself on the roof. Shirley had asked me if she wanted me to go with her, Milly, and Nina on their little vacation for Spring Break, but I declined, making up some stupid excuse. I sighed through my nose as o approached the balcony.

Looking up, I lightly held onto my arms as a low breeze blew, carrying my hair with it, like in my dream. Staring out over the school made me feel...alone. I was always alone most of my life anyways. Ever since my mother died, my father had married that wench and never really spent any time with me, much less talked to me much... He was very depressed ever since mom's death, and I don't blame him, because I was hurt the most since I was so close to her and so young when she died. I lifted my hand and dried the tears from my eyes; not seeing my father ever again hurt a little because I was also very close to my dad. However, once mom died, he just...drifted away, and that was the one thing I never really wanted to happen... Now, in this world, I don't have a family, except my stupid mother that had disowned me... I guess seeing my father rarely socialize with me gave me the idea of this mother, and maybe that's how she was created: from hatred and loneliness...

More tears filled my eyes as I kept them from falling. But suddenly, I felt two strong arms snake themselves around my waist before being pulled backwards into a warm body. I gripped my arms a bit tighter at the realization before I heard that same voice I knew so very well.

"What's the matter? You only come up here unless something's on your mind." Lelouch said.

"Just...lonely, I guess..." I said in a quiet voice.

I thought back to my previous thought of my father and my mother. Without even realizing it, my tears I had been holding back rolled down my face. Once I had realized the tears in my eyes, I quickly dried my cheeks as Lelouch must've noticed from the sudden constriction around my waist before I grabbed my arms again. "The girls are going on a trip today..." I said.

"Yeah. They invited me, but I declined."

"So did I..."

Lelouch rested his chin on my shoulder as he pulled me closer to his body. "What's wrong, Kari? Something is bothering you..."

I turned my head in the opposite direction of where his head was, signaling I didn't wanna talk. Lelouch sighed softly. "Kari, tell me..."

"It's nothing." I said.

He tightened his grip on my belly as I blushed ever so slightly. "Kari..." He whispered into my ear. "...please tell me. I just want to make you feel better..."

Suddenly, tears streamed down my face as I couldn't it back anymore. I quickly turned around and wrapped my arms around Lelouch tightly, crying out loud as all my sadness and anguish came barreling at me all at once and I felt overwhelmed. Lelouch wrapped his arms around me tightly again, slowly rubbing my back as he whispered sweet nothings into my ear. When I had finally let all of my sadness out, I pulled away slightly. Lelouch lifted my chin up as he stared at my tear-covered face before gently wiping the tears from my cheeks and eyes.

Slowly, I pushed him away, starting to walk away from him. "I just wanna be alone right now, Lelouch... I'll see you for when we have to meet up with Cornelia..." I said before walking off.

I couldn't do it, I couldn't tell him I missed my father... What would I tell him...? I just need to cry it out, that's all... Wrapping my arms around myself, I lowered my head as I walked, not wanting to deal with anyone right now, even if I'll have to see him for Cornelia tonight...

That night, the girls were kidnapped by the Japanese, the ones who rebelled against Britannia. We ended up "borrowing," if you will, one of the military trucks to hold some of the terrorists that would play as our Black Knights. As the truck drove, Zero and I stood on the top of the tuck until we were stopped by Cornelia, in which I expected, of course...

"Zero, so we finally meet..." Cornelia said as she stood outside her Knightmare before holding a gun to us. "Now you shall pay for the death of my half-brother, Clovis!"

"Cornelia..." Zero spoke. "...who would you choose? Clovis, who is dead, or Euphemia, who is alive?"

"Ugh!"

"It is within my power to save Euphemia." Zero added.

I smirked to myself. Cornelia hasn't changed one bit. She would never resort to violence when it came to Euphemia. You haven't changed, dear stepsister... "I have no idea what you're talking about!" Cornelia spoke.

"Oh?" I tilted my head to the side a bit before smirking. I had to at least pretend like I was having fun with her, even if all I wanted was to kill her right then and there. "Is dear Cornelia having trouble listening today? He said he can save your lovely little sister, Euphie!" I fake giggled.

I spun around on my foot. "You do wish to save little Euphie, don't you?"

Cornelia was silent.

"If you wish to see your sub-viceroy alive, I suggest you do as I tell you, Cornelia." Zero said. And with that, we were in the clear.

"Excellent..." Zero smirked.

I doubt the Japanese Rebellion can resist meeting the infamous Zero and lovely Ms. Spectra. We shall see, I suppose. Heh heh...

"Oh, too bad, that didn't last too long. I thought for sure they'd last a little longer than Clovis or Minako did... How sad..." I fake pouted before young Euphemia entered the room.

"Zero. Spectra." She said before we had only Euphie come in by herself as the three of us were alone now.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess Euphemia li Britannia." I said.

She was silent.

"Euphemia, I hear you're the new sub-viceroy." Zero commented.

"It's not an appointment I'm happy with..." She said borishly.

"That's because of Clovis' and Minako's death." I stated.

"They begged pathetically for their lives with the same tongue that ordered the merciless deaths of the Eleven's." Zero added.

"Is that why you killed my brother and sister?"

"No." I said. "Clovis was the son of the Emperor while Minako was the daughter of the Empress. Which reminds me, your one of his children too..." I said as I held up a gun.

Zero then lowered my gun, pushing it down with his hand as I put it away. "But for now, you are..." He said.

"Hmm?" I glanced over to the clock, then the window to see the Lancelot. "Zero, I believe it's time to make our leave now."

"Ahh, yes, can't be late for our broadcast..." He said.

"Broadcast?" Euphie asked.

I walked over to Euphemia. "Princess, if you don't mind, I will need you to come with me. I must get you out of here along with the other hostages. I'll meet up with you soon, Zero." I said wit a giggle that I had to force before frowning as Euphie and I left the room.

"People of Britannia!" Zero said over the broadcast before lights shined on us. "We...are the Black Knights!"

"We present to you the hostages unharmed. We, the Black Knights shall fight for justice. Those who think they have power over others should cower in fear for we are not a for to be trifled with."

"Just as Clovis and Minako had power, they abused it, and so, they were punished for it. I will not accumulate battle on a fair and level field, but neither will I tolerate it, a weak sodded massacre of the weak by the strong. For those who kill, are those who are prepared to be killed! For those who have power and shall abuse it, we will appear again."

"For those of you with power, fear us!" I held out my left arm before swiping out my right as I spoke. "Those of you without it, rally behind us for we are justice!"
