It had been about a week since I got back, and not much had happened. As Lena put it, I was on "extreme recovery." Which basically meant while she worked her restaurant shift, I stayed home and did nothing.

"Sierra Kang, get your lazy butt up, today we are going to go out into the world today and do something fun," Lena said, dragging me out of bed.

I fell out of the bed with the thud.

"Ouch Lena! Aren't there more efficient ways of getting me up?" I groaned.

"Not when it comes to you babe. Now get up, shower, get ready and let's go!"

So I did as I was told because Lena seemed rather excited about this little adventure.

My outfit for the day was a cute fall get up to match the cold weather of California.

"Drive to the Promenade," she said once we were in the car.

I raised an eyebrow, "Alrighty then."

So we drove through your average LA weekend traffic and arrived at the Promenade in about thirty minutes.

I pulled into a parking lot and paid twelve dollars for full day parking.

"First things first, lunch!" Lena declared.

I chuckled, "And what shall we get?"

"Your choice Sierra. You're the one who hasn't eaten classic Californian food in three months," she said.

"Mm okay! What about 1212 Santa Monica?" I suggested.

Lena beamed, "Perfect!"

So we got to the restaurant and got a table at the restaurant.

We ordered our food and drinks and then began talking.

"So tell me about your plans with Brooks for the holidays," I said.

She blushed, "Well I invited him to Thanksgiving dinner with my family because he invited me to Christmas dinner with his parents."

"Oh my god Lena that's awesome! You're having an official family dinner," I exclaimed, nudging her shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm pretty nervous but I'm also really excited. I love Brooks a lot so I'm ready," she smiled.

"Is that all? You guys must've been doing some cute couple things," I said.

"Well...there is one thing but I'm not sure you want to hear it," she sighed.

"Literally I couldn't care. Tell me, I'm not going to be upset!" I begged.

"Fine...well the thing is Brooks has been working as a substitute teacher and an after care teacher to make ends meet, but there was this job that he was trying for in New York, and he got it. At first I wasn't going to go with him because I had my job here but they said they were able to get in touch with the restaurant out there and got me a job that paid much better. So I'm moving to New York with him. We're moving in together, meaning that we've got to sell the place since it's under my name."
