Taehyung POV
That's how things were lately. No words were uttered between the two of us. But comfortable silence was often shared.
We were heading to the last city before the end of the tour. Adelaide, Australia.
I was kind of excited to finish the tour and settle down into a quieter schedule as I prepared for my next comeback. But I was also sad because I loved traveling around and meeting all the fans.
We boarded the plane, taking off to the last place before we returned home.
"What a journey."
Time Skip
We had a free day to do whatever we wanted to, so I thought I'd chill out at the hotel.
There was a knock at my door.
I opened it to reveal Jungkook with a bag of chips.
"Hyung, can we talk?"
I bit my lip before eventually stepping aside to let him in.
He sat down on my couch, opening the bag of chips.
"Jungkook, let's cut to the chase please. What do you want to talk about?" The words come out harsher then I mean.
He sighed, "Hyung you are acting pretty blind."
I narrowed my eyes at him, "Excuse me?"
"I can see that you want to talk to Soorim but you hold yourself back and force yourself to sit in silence with her. She pretends that she's fine with it but she's getting tired of making an attempt to explain. Not that she really should have to but she believes she's wronged you in unimaginable ways," Jungkook huffed.
I felt my heart lurch.
"Listen, she kept the fact that she was Sierra because she was worried that Sora would've told you awful things about her and you would hate on her the way the rest of the world did. When she was an idol, no one, not one person said anything nice to her. She tried to tell herself that there was at least one person who supported you, but her life was flooded by so much hate that she couldn't bear it. The way you reacted was exactly what she was afraid of. And about the Sora thing, I mean haven't you seen it? You've seen Sora have her freakout's haven't you? This isn't her being a diva or over the top. She's in pain. You wondered why Sora and Soorim had been getting along recently right? Well it's because the two of them sat down together and talked. Sora poured her heart out to Soorim about her struggles. And while Soorim couldn't fully forgive her, they decided to heal together. And I think that's what you and the girls, Soorim especially, need to do."
I considered his words.
I understood him, and I heard him loud and clear, but I still felt reluctant.
"Hyung, do you want to know why ignoring Soorim is the worst possible decision ever?"
I humored him, "Why?"
"I dated her in high school. She was the kindest and most considerate girl I ever knew. She always put her all into our relationship and made sure that I was as happy as she was. You've stumbled upon a great partner. And if you let her go pettily, you'll regret it forever. It took me this entire tour to get over her. But I still care about her, and I won't let you hurt her or yourself," he said.
My eyes met his. He was dead serious.
I sighed, "But haven't I screwed up? I was a bit out of line?"
"You did screw up. So did she. You both screwed up majorly. The difference is she's still willing to try because she loves you. Are you?"
He passed me the chips bag as I considered his question.
