Chapter 31

After my wonderful birthday surprise, it was back to the grind, our next stop being the start of our Asia leg. We were starting in Osaka, Japan!

We were waiting at the airport for our flight when one of the managers pulled me aside.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

He gulped, "Soorim, I want you to know something. We truly have appreciated all that you've done here and you've truly boosted our concerts higher than we could've ever hoped. But there is one thing, I'm concerned about. Now typically, my role as a manager is to keep our artists in line and make sure no outside forces interfere in something that could ruin their image. For instance, romantic relations with others beside their current partner. But before you freak out, you're a good kid Soorim. You've got a good heart and you care. And to be frank, Taehyung looks at you in a way he's never looked at Sora. She treated and still treats him like he's an accessory to her fame. But you treat him as an equal. Usually I would've told you to keep it completely professional with Taehyung or you're out, but I think the two of you genuinely have feelings for each other. This also could be due to my extreme dislike towards Sora but let me just give you a word of advise, be wary of your actions. I've never seen you guys do something too out of line before, but when Sora is being Sora, you do often take her spot beside him and others could perceive that as Taehyung cheating. That'll lead to nasty things being said about both of you and could damage your reputations catastrophically. So I'm not going to stop whatever you and Taehyung have going on, but I suggest you be way more aware of others around you."

I felt my throat go dry. I was relieved he wasn't kicking me off the job, though he probably should, but what he said about others noticing made me panic.

We had done plenty of couple-esque things in public that people could misunderstand.

Crap, I've done it now.

Taehyung and Jungkook came over to me worriedly.

"Everything okay Soorim?" Jungkook asked.

I gave Taehyung a 'we need to talk' look before assuring Jungkook that I was fine.

Taehyung unfortunately had to occupy his place beside Sora, but he kept looking at me worriedly.

God I hope no one saw anything they should't have.

Time Skip

After a day long flight, we arrived in Osaka at around three in the morning. We were all beat, so we quickly grabbed our stuff and headed to the hotel to rest before we went sightseeing.

The manager's words rang in my head as I tried to sleep.

"I've gotta be way more careful," I muttered as I drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up, I got ready and headed to breakfast.

I sat with the others, discussing our plans for the day and the rest of the trip.

Taehyung and Sora joined us quietly, eating their food in silence.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

Sora scoffed, "Everything is fine skank, so worry about yourself."

I rolled my eyes, "My bad for caring."

My eyes met Taehyung and I could see something guilty and upset in them.

After our tense breakfast we all took off to go sightseeing.

The first place we went to was the Osaka Castle.

It was quite grand and very beautiful. The architecture was fine and detailed, really capturing the time of kings and queens.

We took a few pictures outside of the structure before heading inside.
