One Month Later
The holidays had finally come to an end and the new year had started.
I really had spent the whole time rehearsing the dances and spending time with my parents. There wasn't much else to it.
I had emptied out one of my suitcases and replaced the closet haul in there with necessities for the rest of the tour.
Once I was ready I bid farewell to my parents and headed to the airport.
The cool January air rushes past me as the cab drove me to the airport.
When I arrived, I pulled out my bag and went to go check-in.
It was then when I was embraced by every one of my friends. The past month I had only been in contact with the stylists and the managers. Everyone else was always busy. I didn't even see Jungkook after he picked me up. So it was great to fully see everyone again.
"Woah your hair Soorim. It's so long and so blonde!" Jungkook exclaimed.
I grinned, "You can thank the stylists for that."
I ran my fingers through my hair, dramatically trying to act cool.
"You look so good Soorim, have you be working out?" One of the dancers asked.
One of the managers came beside me and gave my shoulders a squeeze, "Actually she's our replacement center for the dance segment. Per all of your requests, we managed to find someone to take up the spot."
Everyone stared at me in shock.
"Don't worry, I'm not terrible," I joked.
They all broke into grins, cheering and applauding wildly.
"She really can do it all!"
I noticed that despite us all being checked in, we weren't going anywhere. And then I realized two people plus a manager were missing.
"They're fashionably late," a manager groaned.
And then on cue, fans began screaming and camera flashes went off as a familiar couple walked into the airport.
I could feel everyone's energy around me deplete.
"That bad huh."
"Being around them makes me wanna puke, and Taehyung is my best friend," Jungkook sighed.
The two of them checked in and joined us, the managers scolding them for being late.
"Oh shut up! If we weren't late then people wouldn't have crawled over us as they did," Sora piped up.
I looked at Taehyung. He looked worse for wear. He was tired, stressed, and frustrated, and it seemed no one could notice.
"I don't see that skank Soorim? I'm glad she didn't show up and ruin the fun," Sora snickered.
I chuckled behind Jungkook.
Her smirk instantly turned into a scowl and even Taehyung flinched at the sound of my voice.
I stepped out, giving them a pointed smile, "Nice to see you guys again. I hope your holidays were well. And I must congratulate you on your wonderful stages for the end of the year."
A flicker of recognition flashed across her face before she gave me a cool smile.
I turned my attention to Taehyung giving him a nod of acknowledgment before turning back to Jungkook and walking to our gate.
