Lapis' PoV

Its been 30 minutes and Peridot hasn't came home. I know I should wait but I want to call the police or something. Maybe I can go to her work, see if she's there?
"Mum I'm really getting worried, Peridot isn't normally late! Anything could happen!" I start to pull my hair, over thinking.
"Lapis Calm down she probably got held back" I look at my mum with tears in my eyes. "What if she's not?"
My mum embraced me tightly. "She'll be fine. Go and get some rest." I nodded slowly heading towards my room.

Peridots Pov

I look around at an empty street, ghost town. I attempt to stand but something or someone held me down. I look up nervously meeting bright yellow amber eyes. I gasp and spring back in fear.
"W-where am I? Whats going on? Who are you?" I question them all, they were in a half circle all glaring at me.
"You are in BeachLand- to survive and go home... you need to fight her" the tall figure pointed to a very familiar face. Its the tall girl from earlier. She was with aqua. I choke on nothing. "F-fight to survive? T-then w-what?!" I stutter looking at the girl. I can't fight her! Im so flimsy! "Then you will join us to help with our- erm business" the taller lady said. She also looked familiar. Then it hit me- so did the girls knuckles. I stand up quickly looking at the girl who just threw her punch. I'm so going to die. "Go Topaz" someone shouted, I look around only to get punched again, my nose bleeding. Do this for Lapis. I look down at my hands and clench them into fists. "Gahh!" I was thrown back again and stomped on. "You are just going to die so why try and fight it- not that Lapis would care" my head shot up in the direction of Topaz. "What did you say?" I grunt standing up slowly and trudging towards topaz. "I said lapis wont-" Her eyes widened. Something over took me that I had no idea I had. I wrap my hands around topaz' throat. She kicked and thrashed, even grabbing my hair, but im not giving up. "S-sto- ah!" Her grip on my hair loosened and she fell to the ground, limp and not breathing. "You really thought, huh?" I spat on her dead body. 'What the fuck Peridot?! You just killed a woman!'
I stare in shock at what I just done. The crowd roars and approaches me is no other than Jasper.
"Welcome to the team hit-man, ill be messaging you soon" Jasper nods at 2 guys behind us signaling for them to take the body away. I took 2 blows to the face. My head was aching but that wasn't the real pain I was feeling. I cant believe I just killed a person.
"Fuck!" I yell and decide to run back to the house.

"Mum! Its been hours- we need to call the police! we need to- " I walk through the door seeing a horrible sight of Lapis in tears, her eyes all red and puffy, she just looked at me in shock. "Lapis" I my voice cracked before Lapis rushed to my side. "Where were you?! What happened to your face?!" Lapis held my face and kisses me softly. She was now uncontrollably crying. I stood still... I couldn't move, the previous events had just caught up with me. I began to choke on tears, falling onto the ground holding my face. "Lapis! Im so sorry! I just- I just killed a person!" I choke more and crawled into a ball, Lapis had moved away looking at me in terror. Her mum rushed to me and her mother took lapis away.
"What?! You killed someone? This isn't like you! What happened Peridot?!" Ruby began to question. I slowly look up and meet her eyes. "I- it was either that or I would die- they threatened me- I couldn't make Lapis go through that pain!" I didn't even want to speak. I look up at the ceiling, cancelling all noise and thought about what jasper had said
'welcome to the team hit-man'
'Hit man'
'Team?'
"Peridot?" Ruby began to shake me. I snap back to reality and look towards Lapis who seemed stressed, hurt and haunted. "Lapis I'm sorry" I spoke in a broken voice. She looked away and sped off to her room.

Lapis' PoV

I need to calm down. Stop thinking. 'Maybe just this once' I look at the shelf in my closet. There was a small box hidden away in the corner. I grab it and open my window climbing onto the roof. I open the small box and look at the joint and bright blue lighter. I slowly pull it out placing it between my lips and lighting it. 'Peridot killed someone' I sigh and take a slow and long draw.
"Peridot killed someone... Probably had a good reason..." I looked at the clouds covering most of the night sky. Taking another draw, I feel the stress leaving me. I begin to chuckle thinking about my reaction to the situation, I didn't smoke much but when I did I became lightheaded, and full on chill. I finish the joint and stub out the leftover, throwing it off the roof, heading back inside.
"Peridot, tell me your reason- without crying" I spoke to Peridot who had been sitting on my bed in aftershock 'Hehe maybe I should give her one'. I look at the box in my hand and back up at Peridot.

--- 40 Minutes Later ---

"This was a good idea" Peridot coughs at the inhale and looks toward me. "I know- it always is" I smile goofily at her, she had told me her reason behind the girl and honestly... 'fuck her'.
Peridot laid her hands behind her head, neither of us had to get up early as we didn't have work tomorring
"I can't believe I killed someone, I can't believe I'm going to kill mo-" Peridot cut herself off leaving me curious and concerned. I sit up and look at peridot. "What do you mean?" I frown at her. She looked scared and smiled so fake. "Nothing! My words are jumbled, heh" she chuckled changing the subject.

"Lapis, I have a weird and spontaneous thought" Peridot turned to me taking the last draw. I look at her annoyed
"Whats that peri?" I turn my head in the opposite direction.
"Let's have sex on the roof" I choked on the air and looked at peridot shocked. "What?!" With the speed my head turned I'm surprised I don't have whiplash. "I'm serious" Peridot came closer to me holding my face and placing her forehead on mine. I couldn't help but blush lightly at the form of intimacy. I smirk and shake me head no. "You are beyond crazy, on the roof??" I chuckle and she smiled at me placing a kiss on my lips. "Yeah, the wilder the more fun" she winks at me and I kiss her again. That small passionate kiss turn into a rough make out in a matter of seconds. I was on top and I ran my hand down peri's side placing my knee between her legs. She let out a squeak as I begin to kiss her neck roughly leaving multiple marks. I smirked at her attempt to stay quite. She was covering her mouth. "Nuh uh, we are letting the neighbourhood hear us tonight~" I remove her hand and continue kissing her.
