~ Eleven ~

Lapis PoV

'I have to find a job?!' I facepalm pacing my room. 'I could go back to school- thats a lot of drama...' Peridot could tell I was stressed and looked at me. "Lapis come here and sit down" I obeyed as usual and I felt her hands on my shoulders as she started to rub. It felt nice, I felt relaxed. "Don't stress yourself Lazuli, you can take as much time as you need" I raise an eyebrow and turn to her. "What about you?" I ask, she smiles. "Ive already got a job, I emailed them a few weeks ago, in fact I start tomorrow" she chuckles continuing to rub my shoulders. I sigh. "Should I get a part time job? I mean I still live under my parents care..." I question myself. Peridot stops massaging my shoulders and got infront of me and placed a peck on my lips. "Maybe find a passionate thing, its about what you would like to do for your life" she smiles softly but that smile fades quickly as her phone rings. "Heh way to ruin a moment" she mumbles and picks up the phone.

"Hello?"
"Hello is this Peridot?"
"Y-yes"
She answers, I curiously look at her and she shrugged her shoulders.
"Guess who"
they were on speaker now, I couldn't help but snicker, i knew exactly who that voice belonged too. Peridot seemed scared, but I couldn't stop laughing.
"Lapisssss! You ruined it!"
Peridot hung up after hearing Stevens voice.
"You gave him my number?" She spoke annoyed putting her phone back in to her pocket.
"Sorrryyyy, you love me really right?" I flash crazy eyes at her. She snorts and pushes away my face. "No you're uglyy" My mouth drops but then stretches into a smirk.
"How dare you!" I begin to chase her downstairs but she was too fast. She was hiding. "Come out kitty~" I whisper. I hear a laugh from behind the couch. "What? are you a furry too?" She's getting on my nerves. I laugh as I tackle her, except it wasn't her, it was a pillow. "PERI!" I groan and hear something behind the table unit in the corner of the room. 'Bingo'
I peek my head behind and see peridot snickering. "Hello~" I spoke seductively. She blushes and looks up.
"Ah poop" she holds in her curse as she gets out from behind the unit. "I think I know what I want to work as" I boop her nose. She raises an eyebrow. "In that amount of time, what did you think about, a stripper?" I blush at her response.
"N-no! PERI!, I want to work with children!" I blush and rub my neck. She smiles goofily. "Thats. So. CUTE" she grabs my hand and leads me to the dinning table where the computer lay. "There should be a website for work places. They are in need of substitute kindergarden teachers!" Peridot had stars in her eyes. 'It wouldn't hurt'

---- 2 week time skip ---- (sorry..)

"I GOT THE JOB!!" I squeal and my parents hug me, Peridot comes up behind me and kisses my head.
"Ummm- when was this a thing?" My mother points at both of us. I blush and smirk. "When Peridot called me ugly" I put my hands on my hips.
"I did not!" She argues
"Did too"
"Did not!"
"Did too"
We never got to finish our argument because my mother shushed us.
"You guys are bickering like 10 year olds!" My mother shook her head. Peri pursed her lips and blushed embarrassed.
"Let's celebrate!" My mum shouted hugging us again. Peridot wasn't really in this hug but instead she just walked upstairs. I frown but continue hug my parents.
"Soo... did you really hurt your hip..." my mum asks me curiously. I blush and nudge her away.
"Yes?" I question. Then facepalm.
"Im going to get peri" I add before running upstairs.
"Lapis, sorry I ran off, I got caught up in my feelings, I felt jealous?" I guess she was waiting for me. I hug her and kiss her forehead.
"Dont worry about it just enjoy tonight okay?" She smiles and then sighs.
"How did I get an angel like you?" I blush and she cups my face, which I lean into. She kisses my lips slowly and passionately. I couldn't help but fall more in love.
"You didn't 'get me' you deserved me" I kiss her again before moving away and grabbing her hand.
"Let's go enjoy our celebration of 'dating'" I chuckle and head downstairs. Peridot follows close by and whispers in my ear. Which makes my heart stop.
"I want to spend my life with you Lapis" I turn to peridot quickly before jumping into her arms and kissing her.
"PDA?" My parents interrupt, as usual. I hold Peridot's face happily and join my parents.
"Sorry" Peridot apologies before joining as well.

"So when is your first shift lazuli" peridot smiled at me, holding her mountain dew. I smile back.
"Its tomorrow silly" she looks at me 'shocked'. "Well baby girl go sleep its getting late!" She picks me up bridal style and walks me upstairs 'who knew peri to be so strong'. My parents had went to bed ages ago, so me and Peri were left alone soberly drinking soda and making inside jokes. I couldn't stop thinking of Peridot's announcement. We never actually announced that we love each other. Love is a very strong feeling, but Peri just told me she wants to spend her life with me. I was content.
"Whats on your mind?" Peridot snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Nothing" I lie. She shakes her head and giggles.
"I can tell there is, you always look away when I ask you, you bite your lip and scratch your hand. Now spill"
I roll my eyes playful and cuddle her. "Peri I am thinking about what you said earlier. It made me very happy and I can't seem to shake it off" I admit, Peri smiles softly and kisses my shoulder. "Its true~" she hushed me before smirking and trailing kisses on my neck.
"Nooo peri~ I'm going to work with children, they'll look at me weird!" I push her off my neck. She pouts. "Okay ookayy, well we better get some sleep, its your first day and I've got a late shift tomorrow at the Tech shop" Peridot, pulls off her shirt then places her round harry potter glasses on the night stand and cuddes closely next to me. She slept instantly. 'I love you'. I began to drift off to sleep.

This chapter probably sucks but I'm deciding to put some drama into this book as it just seems like a happily ever after... which never happens... Rip my readers.
