Lapis PoV

Oh my god. No wonder she never wanted to talk to me! I sat next to Peridot holding her close, my parents wanted to talk to me after all this. "Im so sorry you've been through all that...and Jasper at school and-" i begin to think about when i checked her out. I feel disgusted in myself. "Peridot can you forgive me" she only looked at me and sighed letting a few more tears roll down her face. I sat infront of her and held chin meeting eyes with each other and i began blushing as i wiped away her tears.
"I didnt mean to be a pain...im sure i caused a mess here im really sorry." She spoke sadly. "No, no Peridot, you haven't caused a mess, you have probably fixed a mess, we can help you" i looked at her with sorrow eyes. Peridot looked up at me. "Why do you care so much about me? You have known me for 2 days." I looked in her eyes seeing how hurt she actually is.
"I want to know you, I've already learned the worst parts so tell me the good parts, i want to be there for you" i hold her hand and help her to her feet. She looked happy, relieved and then sadness again. "But my dad could find me, what if you're lying? I punched you, what if your just waiting for the right moment to hurt me" this hurt me, the way she thinks lowly of me. "You think I'd do that Peridot?" I let go of her hand. "No its not what i meant, i mean...i mean" she didn't finish. "You mean what?" I wasnt going to raise my voice, she looked at me. "I can't trust someone i just met, in fact i can't trust anyone at all..." I blacklooked peridot. "I know...but I'm not a bad guy, neither are my little small mums outside the bathroom door" this made her chuckle which made my heart melt, that dorky little sound. I blushed like crazy. She waved her hand in front of me. "Lapis?" I zoned in and smiled at her.
"Let me introduce you properly to my parents" i walked her out the bathroom and started talking to my mums

"So peridot, what are some of your hobbies?" I asked her, we were currently in my bedroom, waiting for something to do. "I like videogames, and building things, i have this huge collection of creations i have built over the years" i smirked. "Thats how you are such a nerd" i stuck my tongue out, she scowlded. "Blue haired Clod" she smirked at her insult. We had been talking for the past 4 hours getting to know each other. She was really funny, and just dorky. "Hmmm, if you like video games we should play a game of...Roblox" i winked, she slowly cringed. "Roblox?" I laughed at her reaction, "Peri I'm joking" I grabbed the controllers and stuck in a game of Cod and passed one too Peri.

It was getting late and peri had passed out on the bottom of the bed, i couldnt help but watch her sleep, she looks so peaceful, in her happy place. "if only you knew how much you roam my mind. The way your eyes glisten, the way your voice squeaks when you lose a game of cod" i chuckled thinking about the memories earlier. I get up from my space and move peridot to the top of the bed wrapping her in covers and going downstairs. "Im so hungry.." i spoke quietly, jesus i almost sounded like my mum. I walk further downstairs and hear my mother speak.
"Then come eat me, baby" with that she flicks on the light. I scream, my eyes widening. "MOTHER, MUM?!" i turn away embarrassed. Both my mums panic and run into a different room. "Why?!" I speed walk upstairs eyes still wide, 'omg i just seen both my small parents naked' i get in my room closing the door. "Lapis?" I blush looking up at peridot, her voice was so croaky. "Y-yes peri?" I walk over towards her and sit down. "Your bed is really comfy~" her voice drifted at the end falling into another snore. I smiled goofily. Pulling out my phone and messaging my mum.

I opened the door peeking out and walking down stairs. Both my parents were dressed and both red. They never made eye contact once. I didn't want to meet their eyes either. I open the fridge grabbing to cans of juice,one for peri if she wakes up, i then grab a few packets of Dorito's... thinking about it. I laughed out loud, both my parents looked at me
"Hah, she does look like a Dorito, Perito" i turned and faced my parents, my face turning red. They chuckled then awkwardly walked away.
"Were sorry for what you seen, lappy" my mum sighed. I nodded in response and headed upstairs meeting a zoned out peridot. I put down the snacks and walk over to peridot.
"Hey... are you okay? Is there anything on your mind?" I sat beside peridot and she laid her head on my shoulder looking through the window at the stars. No reply, i sigh and stroke her hair. "You like mountain dew, right?" I swear her neck snapped, at how fast she turned. She nodded furiously. I snorted grabbing the drinks for us. When i gave peri her can she was staring at me. She face was red and her eyes hair stars in them. "Uh, peridot?" I waved a hand in front of her. She shook her head and faced away drinking her juice. Enjoying her time continuing to look out the window. 'She is so beautiful, i wish i could take the pain off of her mind...'
