Locked Out (Lapidot Human AU)

~ Five ~

Lapis PoV

I woke up in the morning to find peridot...no where? I look at the window seeing its opened slightly. I sigh and climb out the window going up the roof.
"Peridot..?" I see peridot holding her knees looking off at the sunrise.
"Peridot, are you okay?" I sit next to her copying her posture.
"Yeah..." she whispers softly. I can tell she's not, that there is something on her mind.
"Are you sure, sometimes it's better to speak instead of keeping it bottled in" i look at her, she buried her head in her knees. It hurts seeing her with this. "Nothing's wrong lazuli... just- Day dreaming" she looks up at the orange sun. I pout but try to ignore it. "Hey peri there's a star to wish on" i point at the sun rising, it made peri giggle but it soon faded into silence.
"you know... for someone so small, I'd say you were pretty strong. You have dealt with so much" i don't look at peridot once but i can tell it meant a lot hearing that. "If only you knew" her voice cracked. I face her seeing a tear roll down her cheek. "So tell me what its like, I'm starting to feel locked out" she turns to face me. She had a sorry look on her face as if everything was her fault. "Im sorry... i can't" with that said she got up and left the roof, heading back. I sighed and stayed on the roof a little longer.

"Lapis! Peridot?, can i come in?" My mother knocked the door.
"Yeah." I replied concentrating on my game play. My mother enters looking confused.
"Where is peridot?" I glanced at my mother and then looked towards my bathroom door in my room. My mother nodded, handing me some clothes. "Whats this for?" I pause my game.
"Its for Peridot, your mum thought it would be a good idea pick up some clothes since she'll be staying here a while" i sigh and un-pause my game. I could feel the bed sink in a bit as my mum sat down next to me. "Lapis? Are you okay?" My mother rubs my shoulder.
"Mother, I'm worried. What is something happens to Peri again and she doesn't tell me... how am i supposed to help her" i feel myself get emotional and upset.
"Lapis it'll take some time for peridot to adjust to us, she's been through hell, and it will be hard to trust" my mother stood up and kissed my forhead. "Give her some time" she smiled before leaving. I looked down at the small pile of clothes beside me, the colours, dark emerald green and some shades of grey and black, including shirts. I smile softly waiting for Peridot to get out.

"Lapis...do you...have any clothes i could borrow" I smiled hearing this and perked up. "Actually my parents thought it would be nice to give you some clothes so pick your choice" I picked up the pile of clothes and passed it through.
"T-Thanks" she smiles and closed the door. I stayed quiet for a while before i heard a gasp and a small conversation.
"Wow Peridot youre hot" I squinted my brows continuing to listen to Peridot talking to herself.
"You could totally be a model" I snorted and began to laugh.
"Neeeerd" I call through and she opens the door blushing.
"W-what did you hear?" She brings through the rest of the clothes neatly folding them. I smirked.
"Alll of it" i got up from my space and got closer to Peridot. She looked like a lost puppy. Her face was red and I slowly pulled her glasses off of her face. "Lapis! Give them back" Peridot began to chase me as I place them on my face.
"Ahah sucka!" I look back still running, not seeing the stairs and slipping up on one. I tumbled and crashed. I got to the bottom and my mum and mother gasped as well as Peridot. "I'm okay!" I yell, taking the glasses off and passing out.

I awoke with Peridot stroking my hair and humming a song. 'Wow' i keep my eyes closed and grin, so i can keep feeling this magica--
"OUCH!" I was hit in the face with a pillow. I open my eyes to see peridot holding a pillow. "I seen your eyes open!, thats what you get for stealing my glasses you clod" She hit me again. "Ouch stopppp!" I fell off the bed, glaring at her. She looked scared. 'Yeah thats right, you know whats coming' i walked out the room quietly. "Lazuli?..." she goes silent. I walked into my parents bedroom. "Mum i need a pillow, ASAP." My mum grinned and threw me one. I walked silently bed to my room and opened the door. "Hello my enemy" i kept a straight face. "Hi?" Peridot whispered.
"Gaaahhh!" I jump and tackle Peridot hitting her with this pillow. I hadn't even realised how long we were fighting. But it also took me a few minutes to realise that she was straddling me. We both blushed. My bedroom door bursts open with my mother and mum holding pillows ready to attack.
