Two- Remus

Sirius, James, Peter and I head up to the common room together

I can't help but catch glances at Sirius. God how I love him. "Hey, Evans" I hear James say as we pass Lily "In your dreams, Potter" replies Lily. We all try to stifle laughs "oh shove off you lot" says James "In your dreams Potter" I say, repeating Lily's words which earn me a shove from James

"Alright well we best be off to bed, you know Mcgonnagoll won't be happy if we stay up late" says Peter. Always the coward "yeah I guess so, I'm pretty knackered" says Sirius, I nod and we head up to our dorm.

The next day we go down to breakfast and get given our timetables "let's see yours, Padfoot" I say, wanting to know how many times a day I get to see him "we have double transfiguration together and we have potions and care of magical creatures together" says Sirius. I smile, knowing we're going to be together for four hours at the least each week and that's not including free periods, lunch and after school.

"Oh look, Moony, we have defence against the dark arts together and herbology" says James. Lucky sod. "I have double divination and arithmancy, I don't think I have any lessons with you" says Peter. Shame. I'm not a massive fan of Peter but James likes him and so I guess he stays

Sirius and I head to potions together and take a seat near the back of the class "my apologies for my mistake, Lupin, turns out the full moon is tonight, wouldn't want you on a rampage for the whole school to know now would we? I'm only doing you a favour, freak" says Severus as he sits on the bench in front of us

"I know when the full moon is, Snivellous, maybe while I'm 'on a rampage' you could wash that greasy hair of yours" I reply, snarling. I can see Sirius clenching his fist "what're you so worked up about, Black, disappointed that you and your boyfriend aren't getting any action tonight because he's a monster?" Asks Severus, do I need to hold Sirius back? I mean I wish we were together but Sirius would never feel that way towards me

"Well, at least I get more action than you, Snape" snaps Sirius, I can see Severus getting worked up "very funny, Black, you and Lupin have a great time tonight although I'm not sure how a relationship with a freak like Lupin works" says Severus "he's not my boyfriend!" I exclaim. Unless he wants to be. But I'm not going to say that out loud

"Sure thing, Lupin" says Severus, I clench my jaw "fuck off, Severus" I state, then Professor Slughorn walks into the room and we all fall silent. "Don't let him get to you, Moony" says Sirius softly, placing his hand over mine. My stomach swarms with butterflies and I feel the urge to kiss him but I don't. I can't. He would be disgusted.

"Hey, Remus, are you ok?" Asks Lily as we walk out of potions and into Muggle studies "yeah, I- I'm fine, you?" I reply, she nods, taking the seat next to me "you just seem, a bit out of it and I heard Severus, that was horrible and I need to have a word with him, just let me know if anyone bothers you again, there's nothing wrong with being who you are" says Lily, I offer her a small smile

"It's alright, Lily, thanks but I don't want you ruining your friendship with Severus because of me" I state, she shakes her head "don't be silly, bullying isn't ok" replies Lily, I smile "are you sure you're ok?" Asks Lily, I sigh and slowly nod "Lily" I begin, she hums "do you ever feel so strongly about someone but you know that you could never confess your feelings because it wouldn't go well" I ask, she frowns "I guess so, why?" Asks Lily, I shrug "just wondering" I reply

She wants to press on further but our professor enters the room and she submerges into a trance of concentration, completely forgetting all about our conversation.

I get out of my class and head to lunch when I'm stopped by Peter "Remus! Remus!" Exclaims Peter, I frown and nod "what is it, Wormtial?" I ask, he beckons for me to follow him "it's Sirius, he's in the hospital wing" replies Peter.

My heart breaks. I run up to the hospital wing and find Sirius "what happened?" I ask rather panicked "oh nothing, Severus made some more comments about you on the way out of defence against the dark arts and I punched him and he punched me back and then he got out his wand and well...did some damage.

"That son of a" I begin but I'm cut off by Madam Pomfrey coming in and sorting Sirius out. Eventually he's let out of the hospital wing

"Thank you for sticking up for me when I wasn't there" I say to Sirius as James and Peter walk in front of us "no worries. Anything for you, Moony, you're my best friend" replies Sirius, did he just unintentionally friend zone me? Of course because he's straight. I just offer him a smile. Unsure of what to say.

Eventually nightfall arrives and Severus was right, it's a full moon. "Sirius" I say, he turns to face me, being the only one left in the common room with me "Sirius its a full moon" I state, he gives me a panicked look and then he helps me out of the castle to the whomping willow. He touches the knot to freeze it and we go through the entrance

"Get out" I tell Sirius, he frowns, I don't want him to see me like this "Sirius I'm a monster leave!" I exclaim, he shakes his head "no, I'm not going" says Sirius

"SIRIUS BLACK GET OUT" I scream "I'll kill you I won't know who you are leave please" I state, Sirius finally leaves. I watch his retreating figure as I transform
