Five- Sirius

I'm in the common room. Kissing Remus Lupin.

"Do you know how bloody long I've waited to kiss those lips?" I ask, looking into his beautiful eyes "I'm assuming a while" replies Remus, I chuckle and nod "since second year" I say, he rises his eyebrows but our time is cut short as we hear someone say "pig snout" and the painting swings open. It's James

"How did things go with lily?" I ask as James walks in beaming, I mean going by his smile I assume it went well but James is...different "she said she'll see the band play, so I was thinking, we play some...good songs" replies James, I nod "like what?" Asks Remus, James shrugs, shoving his hand into his pockets "I was thinking maybe, I wanna dance with somebody by Whitney Houston. Or maybe somebody to love by queen?" Suggests James

"Queen" I state, he's not murdering Whitney that's for sure. James nods "so practice after school?" Asks James, we both nod, we have nothing better to do.

After school we all meet in an empty classroom that professor Flitwick is letting us use which is handy. "Right, Remus on the drums, Sirius, back up singer and bass player get your damn guitar" says James, we all smirk and stand in our places. We start the intro and James starts singing

"Can anybody find me somebody too love"  Remus starts playing in the drums "each morning I get I die a little, can barely stand on my feet" sings James, his voice is better than ever

"Somebody, somebody, can anybody find me, somebody to love" James sings the chorus and we're all getting into the song "till the tears run down from my eyes lord!" We keep playing and it actually sounds good, good enough to please the people at the Three Broomsticks.

I do my guitar solo and I look over at Remus to see him smiling at me which makes me blush slightly "any body find me some body to love"

"Anybody find me someone to love" I sing in the background, my voice is alright, not as good as James but it's good enough "find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love" Remus and I chant quietly in the background whilst the music builds up and James is getting ready to sing again "can anybody find me, some body to love" James hits the high note perfectly.

"That was brilliant, Prongs" I state, he smirks "well, gotta give the best for my girl" replies James, I shake my head and sigh "she's not your girl" I state, he smiles "she will be, Padfoot, mark my words, lily evans will one day be Lily Potter, it really suits. Now let's do wake me up before you go go by wham" states James

We do wake me up before you go go, then we do never gonna give you up by Rick Astly, then don't stop me now by queen and we finish on that note "that was a great practice boys, we'll be perfect come three weeks time and Evans will be putty in my hands" says James. He's so stubborn that man.

As we walk back, Remus teases me as he brushes his hand against mine and whispers in my ear "stay in the common room until everyone goes to bed and you can get a kiss goodnight" he nibbles on my ear and I swear I could have him here and now but this is a secret. God knows the grief we'd get if we made our relationship public. I decide to whisper something in his ear as well "why don't you come to the ball with me, act casual as friends but whenever no ones looking we'll sneak a kiss, hold hands whatever, baby" I whisper before lightly licking his earlobe. I hear him sigh with pleasure and I smirk knowing I've done what I needed to do

We go down to the great hall for dinner and James chooses a spot awfully close to lily "hello, lily" says James as he takes his seat and fills his plate with mashed potatoes and lamb "piss off, Potter" snaps Lily "you wound me, Evans" says James, she rolls her eyes and continues eating. Severus walks by our table and I can see him mentally debating with himself "lily" begins Severus "if you're going to call her that filthy name again, Snape I suggest you piss off now" says James defensively, for a moment I could've sworn lily looked at James in awe

"James, it's ok, let him speak. What's up Severus?" Asks Lily, Severus looks rather angry at James but that's nothing new "I wanted to apologise for what I said I never meant to call you that it's just I" stutters Severus "it's just that you didn't want to be saved by a girl I get it" replies Lily, she sounds so broken and I can't begin to imagine how hard it must be for her to come from a muggle family

"I never meant what I said" says Severus "then why did you say it? Severus I was happy to be your friend I never understood why people were mean to you because you seemed nice enough but you proved me wrong" replies Lily, I can see Severus forming up another argument "Severus I'd leave before you make things worse" says James

"Piss off, Potter, it's not like Lily likes you anyway, leave her alone jeez all you want to do is get in her pants" snips Severus "that's not true! I really like Lily!" Exclaims James, going rather red in the face, Severus gives a defeated look before striding away "you really aren't trying to sleep with me? Like hump and dump?" Asks Lily, James almost chokes to death "never! Evans I've never asked a girl out before you're the one girl I'm pining for, I would've given up by now if it was anyone else" exclaims James

Then lily does something that surprises all of us, she kisses James "fine, I'll go to the stupid ball with you, James Potter, and if all goes well you might end up with a girlfriend" says Lily, James looks so happy he could explode "I knew I could win you over one day, Lily Evans" says James, she smiles and rolls her eyes "well you are very charming, Potter" replies Lily. I look over at Remus, that's what I want with him.
