Holding up the magazine, I showed her a wedding dress. Its been five months since Aug proposed and even though we didn't have a set date, I was still looking.
"Its nice."
"But?"
"But its not you."
"You've said that about every dress I've showed you so far."
"Because I know my best friend."
"Well then you design one for me sonce you know me so well." I smirked.
"I thought you would never ask." She smiled.
Pulling a miniture sketch pad from below her desk, she came over to me and sat.
"Really Shay?" I laughed.
"Yes really, now look."

"Wait, you got fabric swatches too?"
"Of course. Now I see you in something form fitting to show off your curves."
"Of course you do." I shook my head.
"Alei you have a beautiful body, even after making children, so why not show it off."
"I understand but you know I've always been conservative."
"I know but you know I got you."
"Yea." I smiled.
As she talked more about the dress idea she had, my mind wondered off a bit. Aug and I haven't really sat down and spoke about the wedding.
With so much that's been going on, it was hard to get to do it.
"Alei you listening?"
"Huh?"
"Damn girl."
"I'm sorry babe. I was just thinking about something."
"What? Talk to me?"
"Nah just with this case and everything. I was about ready for it to be over and done with."
"Oh."
August and I had eventually pressed civil charges against the man who was driving the car that crashed into me.
It was crazy how we had to be in and out of court for this entire ordeal.
"Y'all are going to beat this, trust me and if not, I'm beating him."
"OK. I laughed.
Going back to the couple bridal magazines I had with me, I looked at color schemes and everything.
