Hailies POV

I knew Alex didn't want me to see it, but... guns. Why were they holding guns?

I was shaking in Alex's' embrace as I heard a thud and muffled talking. Suddenly, all I could hear was silence.

We stood there for what felt like hours. And I had a lot of time to think while Alex was bandaging up my leg. He said it just looked like a deep cut, but how did it happen?

It stung a lot when he was cleaning it, but now, it's just a throbbing pain as I sat next to Alex on the couch while watching a movie on his phone. I knew it was to distract me from whatever was happening upstairs, but I wasn't paying attention.

I was too busy trying to piece together the puzzle.

I remember that Xander beat up Luke for some reason... almost like he knew him. Then, Lucas. That night I could have sworn I hear a gun shot, but at that exact mommy Alex had almost thrown my foot off it's hinges so I though that he banged the door into the wall so hard that he made that noise. Now this...

I don't know what Xander saw under my bed, but I didn't like the look on his face when he found out. And it must be bad considering that Mason had to go up too.

Maybe it was like a raccoon or some other animal that got into my room, and it like... cut me in the process? Ugh! This is so confusing!

Are they in some gang or something? Oh god I hope not. I could never imagine the Alex that tucks me into bed and bakes with me to be the same Alex that has a gun and shoots people.

They could never...

Xander POV

Shit shit shit!

I gave the knowing look to Cole and he left With Hailie. I dragged the man from under Hailies bed and threw him to the ground. I took the duck take I saw from Hailies deck and slapped it over his mouth. I put one foot over his throat and the other kept his hands in place.

Mason, Cole and Will all came into the room shocked. They look furious.

Cole went to go reach for the gun in his pocket but Mason stopped him. We knew we couldn't do anything with Hailie in the house. It would be to suspicious.

Will grabbed the mans feet and Cole took his arms. We snuck downstairs quietly and went out the front door. We could see Hailie anywhere which meant her and Alex were in the living room. Thank god there was a door separating us.

We took the man to the shed in our backyard. It looks like a normal shed, but it has 2 floors built into it, and it's much more spacious inside.

I close the door after all of us get in and flick on the light.

He'll pay for hurting Hailie.
