But before he could respond, Xander interrupted him.

Hailies POV

"Mafia. Hailie were in the mafia." Xander said.

My light smile slowly turned into a shocked frown.

"No. It can't be. It's not possible" I tried to tell myself.

"Hailie, we're not joking." Alex said cautiously.

No.

No.

I refuse to believe it. It can't be...

Mason. Even thought he's mean and cold, he could never kill someone. Maybe with his death glares, but never with a... gun or something.

Alex. He's too sweet to hurt a fly. He could be the same person that could have possible killed someone or someone who's touched drugs.

Xander. Yes he was a meanie pants, and he teases me all the time. But the same Xander who stays with me when I'm scared at night, and will treat me like a princess when I'm on my *cough* period *cough*, CANT be the same Xander who's in the Mafia.

Cole. He treats me like a princess 24/7. Yes, he teases and annoys me, but he never fails to show me that he loves me, through his actions at least. He helps me cook, and plays board games with me when no one else will, and he's just too much of a cuddly teddy bear to hurt someone.

Will. He was the sweetest. Out of all my brothers, he was the nicest, sweetest person ever. He always helps me with homework, always compliments my food and is overall so sweet. He teases me too, but much less then the others.

This can't be true. The same brothers who love me, treat me like a princess, bake cookies with me, give me gifts, read stories with me, cuddle with me when I'm scared, watch movies with me, tease me all the time and are the biggest cuddly bears ever can't be in the Mafia.

"N-no... that's not possible...." I say quietly.

"Hailie-" Xander tries to talk.

"No. It can't be. You guys read to me at night, watch movies with me, bake cookies with me, give me gifts, hug me, tease me, annoy me, but... you guys can't be. You can't"

I say as my eyes sting with unshed tears.

Alex sighs and tries to come over to comfort me, but I put my hand up to stop him.

He sighs and sits back down.

"Hey guys-" Cole barges into the room, but immediately stops when he senses the tension in the room and quickly walks over to me when he sees a tear come down my face.

"What happened-" he started as he went to hug me, but I just pushed him away.

"What did you guys do?" Cold asks Xander and Alex.

"We told her." Alex says.

Cole's eyes went wide and he frantically pulled a chair next to me.

"Hailie, are you-"

"Ok?! Am I ok!?! I just found out the my brothers are in the Mafia! You know what, I'm peachy, I'm doing fine!" I say irritated.

I quickly wipe the other tear that fell, and my breath got caught in my throat.

"I can't stay in this room anymore."  I think to myself.

I notice I still have an iv attached to each arm, and more wires. Without thinking, I rip each one of them out before my brothers could stop me. I quickly swung my legs off the bed, and jumped off.

My legs felt like jelly since I haven't walked in a bit, but that didn't stop me. I heard them all calling my name, but I just ran out of the door. I closed the door behind me, and before I could take another step, I was pulled against a hard chest.

"Hailie. What do you think your doing." I heard Masons voice. They I was pushed down into a chair.

"How could I forget that Will and Mason were still here. Damn, why so many brothers"

"S-Stop. Let me go..." I said quietly.

"No Hailie. You'll sit and explain why the hell you were thinking of running." Mason said with his arms crossed.

"Cause you guys are in the damn Mafia." I said quickly getting up and running past Mason.

I saw something flash in his eyes and he ran behind me. I frantically looked around while running.

Everyone was looking at me, and at Mason running behind me looking like I escaped from the mental illness ward. I kept running until I saw a women's bathroom.

I had never run so fast. I took a deep breath and halted my running when I closed the stall door. Of course he couldn't follow me in here.

I waiting what felt like hours before quietly getting out. I saw a girl that looked to be in her early 20's beginning to leave. I quickly grabbed her hand and said in a hushed whisper.

"When you walk through the door, can you give me a thumbs up if you see 5 men that look like me but taller and scarier? I'm trying to hide from them. They're my brothers. And yes, I'm fine."

I said quickly. The last thing I wanted was for her to call the cops because she thought I was kidnapped. She looked at me like I was crazy, but nonetheless, she nodded. She opened the door, looked around in front of her, and slyly gave me a thumbs up from behind her back.

I breathed a sigh of relief. I waited a minute after the lady left, and left myself. I didn't see them, so I started walking to the food courts where there were crowds so I could hide. But before I could walk 10 feet, I pulled against a hard chest.

Alex.

I could tell from his cologne.

"Let go of me Alex." I said calmly.

"No, your coming come with us. Now."

He took my hand and dragged me to the car. I didn't protest. Maybe I could make a run for it in the parking lot. Maybe...

"Don't think about running Hailie. We have body guards. Remember?" Alex said.

"Damn it"

We got in the car, and sat in silence. Alex was in the passengers seat, and I was in the back in the small middle seat. I knew this was so I could open the door to leave.

A few minutes later, Xander came to sit in the drivers seat, and Cole and Will sat in either side of me.

I knew Mason had already left. He always did.

I knew I should be scared shitless.

But now,

It's them who should be scared.
