Hailies POV

We all sat in awkward silence in the living room. I sat on one couch with Will and Cole, Mason and Alex we're across from us and Xander was on his own arm chair.

Finally Alex decided to end the silence.

"So Hailie knows now" He said awkwardly.

"It was a bad decision, I knew we shouldn't have told her" Xander grumbled.

I sighed and just looked at my lap.

This was a big change to me, us, our family. But we had to get past this otherwise our family would break apart. I understand that they didn't want to tell me because they wanted to keep me safe and hidden from their dark secrets, but they can't hide them forever.

I took a deep breath before talking.

"You guys couldn't hide it from me forever. You would have had to tell me anyways. It wasn't hard to piece together certain things, so you guys being in the Mafia isn't too shocking. Well it is, I just can't believe it..." I trailed off at the end looking back at my hand that were fiddling in my lap.

I heard Cole next to me start talking.

"We get it Hailie. It's shocking. It sure was when we all were introduced to it by our dad. But that's a story for another time I guess."

We all went into silence again. Then I realized that they should just tell me the whole truth now. They already told me a big secret, so why not say the rest? That's a long shot, but might as well try.

"Well we've got time. And I might as well know since you've already told me one big secret." I said leaning back and crossing my arms around my waist.

I saw them all look at each other talking through their eyes. Oh how I wish I was close enough to them that I could do that. But again, that was a long shot. After this, who knows. They might never want to talk to me again.

It's weird. Even though I should be the one to be mad and angry at them, there was still another part of me that thought they would be mad at me for telling me. It makes no sense, but I still thought that.

I was brought back to reality at Will's voice.

"She might as well know"

All my brother except Mason nodded. He seemed to be deep in thought so I didn't want to bother him and brought my attention back to the rest of my brothers.

Alex sighed before talking.

"Our dad was in the Mafia too. So was our grandfather, and our great grandfather and out great great grandfather..."

"We get it Alex" Xander interrupted him in a bored  tone

"Yeah so um, Mason is basically the leader of our group, Mafia thing... I'm basically the person who would make decisions if Mason wasn't here. Will is still training, but is almost done. After that, he will be in charge of training all the newbies. Xander and Cole are only halfway done with training, and will be done in about a year or so. After that, we'll have to see what they'll be able to do."

I sat there taking it all in.

"So this is legit. Their actually in the damn Mafia."

"Well then" I said clearing my throat. "I have a few question..."

hey

Hey everyone! Nice to see you again 😅. Sorry it's been so long. I've been getting better, but my mental health is still on the fence. I'm trying to get more updates in, but they might still be slow. I'll be more active on here, but don't be surprised if updates are slow. They'll probably only be one
