Recap:
"Fine. Tell Hardin that he is to come to our house at 6:30pm tomorrow for dinner. And tell him if he screws up, I won't be so kind."

Hailies POV

I was nervous to say the least. It was now Friday and Hardin has texted me saying that he would be at our house in half an hour.

That gave me enough time to set the table and help the cooks with some cooking since I love to cook. Then I ran upstairs and changed into my favorite dark blue dress (see picture above) and combed down my tangled hair into soft waves that went down my back. I always loved how my hair naturally went into waves. It reminded me of my mother's hair.

Then I put on some mascara and a tiny bit of blush to look more lively. I trimmed and painted my nails with some clear nail polish to give it some shine, and I checked my phone.

I had told Hardin to dress nice because my brothers were very keen on that, and he told me he would be wearing a suit. And I'm not going to lie, I was excited to see what he would look like in a suit. He also promised me that he would be on his best behavior to impress my brothers, which I was thankful for.

I plugged the charger into my phone and left it to charge on my bed. Then I went downstairs to see the table full of food, and all the nice dinner plates and utensils out. I smiled when I saw that all my brothers were waiting in the living room.

Although they didn't look too pleased. When Mason has informed them of who was coming over on Friday and why, it didn't end well. Let's just say there was a lot of shouting, door slamming and probably a hole in the wall from Xander.

My brothers were not pleased, so I had to beg them with everything I had for them to be on their best behavior. And it took a lot of bribing and doing all their chores for me to convince them to wear suits. Although now I regret asking them because they all look 10x more intimidating. Especially Mason who looked down and checked his million dollar watch.

"He has 2 minutes." Mason said in a cole voice. And thankfully, a minute later the doorbell rang. I quickly got up, and patted my hair to make sure it looked fine, and headed for the door. Just before I would touch the handle, a heavy arm pushed me aside and a familiar cologne hit my nose.

Xander.

Stupid Xander. Of course he had wanted to open the door. I should have known.

I huffed and breath of air out of my nose and I flatted the back of my dress that had (not gently) been pressed into the dresser behind me when Xander pushed me.

Xander had opened the door and immediately closed it behind him. I heard some hushed whispers as the door was open the tiniest crack, and it didn't take a genius to guess what Xander was saying.

After a minute both Xander and Hardin stepped inside. Xander had a smug look on his face and Hardin looks slightly nervous.

But he looked very handsome in a suit.

"Hardin. Nice to meet you." Mason said as he stuck out his hand. Although it didn't sound like he was in any way happy to meet him. His voice sounded more stern and cold then usual. Hardin winced slightly when Mason grabbed his hand and gave it a firm shake.

"Hardin. Glad you could make it, these are my brothers; Mason, Alex, Will, Cole and Xander. Guys this is Hardin." I have them a glare which translated to "be on your best behavior or I'm kicking you all in the groin later."
