--W/Tony--
Tony woke up to Pepper coming through his lab door at one in the afternoon after having stayn (Sue me.) up late the night before. He groaned as he got up from his chair and the desk he was resting his head and arms on while Pepper sent him a glance of disapproval.
"I thought you were trying to get better with being a workaholic?" She asked not-so-subtly, He only mumbled back "Stress," and proceeded to ask Friday what his schedule looked like today. "It appears you have nothing on your calendar for today currently sir, would you like to schedule something yourself for later?" The AI responded. "No thanks Fri, That'll be all," Stark stated and gave a triumphant look to Pepper, "See? I knew I wasn't going to miss any meetings." She only rolled her eyes and responded sarcastically "Sure you did."
Pretty soon Tony decided that it was never too late for breakfast and got up from his work chair to head to the kitchen on the floor just below his in the tower. When he got there he saw Steve and Sam arguing about something or other, as per usual, but something was missing...
"Hey Capsicle, where's your oh so glorified best friend?" Tony asked out of curiosity, still being somewhat weary of the ex-assassin, and rightfully so. Steve turned his head to look at Tony and was seeming to be about to say something sassy in response, but just figured that it would not help the situation. "He went out on a walk a few hours ago, and he still isn't back! He's never out this long!" Steve said throwing up his hands to emphasize his obvious worrying for the man.
"Chill out capsicle, maybe he stopped to get some coffee or something, or chat with a nice girl, either way I'm sure he's fine." Tony reasoned and shrugged, though deep down he was worried too, not for the man, but of the many possibilities of what could've happened, and who could've been hurt. But he chose not to think about that, he knew it wasn't fair to judge the guy when he had been brainwashed, but still...
Anyway, Tony thought, he might as well go check out how things were going down on the lower floors, seeing as he didn't do it nearly as much as he probably should... But first he needed to go talk to is probably not-so happy wizard husband, who happened to be sitting on the couch. Tony came up behind him and stated calmly and in his usual sarcastic tone "Thanks to you I was just lectured by the CEO of my company, thanks." Stephen didn't remove his eyes from the book he held in his hands as he was reading. "I fail to see how I could have played a part in this certain inevitable situation." Tony raised his eyebrows "Are you not both the husband of Tony Stark and a wizard? You play as part in everything dear." Steven proceeded to roll his eyes, "It was a monday night Stark, we agreed that I wouldn't force you out of your lab on Monday nights and tuesday mornings,(A brief "I don't remember doing that.." was heard) and besides- you were stressed." Tony responded nonchalantly "You know me so well." And then pecked Strange on the cheek before strutting off to the elevator. "I'll send up Bucky if I see him," He yelled before the automatic doors shut.
"Fri baby, take me to floor fifteen, I'll go from there on up." He stated, having heard that a new intern was coming in today, why not show up and scare them out of their wits. Tony grinned to himself as the elevator slowed to a stop. As he got out he could see a very irritated looking Pepper Potts and another women. "Wow, just my luck..." he sighed and made his way over to the two women, in attempt to get Pepper to be less mad at him by being productive. "What's up Pep?" He asked calmly, startling the women slightly as she hadn't been aware of Tony's presence.
"Oh! Tony, what are you doing here?" She asked exasperated, "Well It's my Tower isn't it?" Tony asked in his usual sarcastic voice. "Now what up?" He repeated his question, "Well, we were supposed to be sent a new intern almost five minutes ago, and we've already moved the previous kid in his place so now no one's going to be delivered their coffee on this floor! which is going to go be an absolute Nightmare Tony, and now I'm freaking out." She said in a panicky voice, not that Tony could blame her- angry scientists and mechanics without their coffee is truly a horror to behold
