Jungkook approached the window and stood in front of the rain-glazed glass. He wanted to be in complete silence, just to stare at the raindrops running down the glass and not think about anything, but he couldn't stop. His thoughts kept coming back to the events of two days ago.
It was so recent, and sometimes it felt like forever. Each moment without V seemed to pull on mercilessly long. He had never missed someone this much before. Life without V was like a substitute for real life, like vegetation. Nothing made sense. He lacked everything. His smell, his deep voice, his laughter, which was one of the most beautiful sounds he heard. He missed the look of his eyes, the touch of his hands, the taste of his mouth, closeness to his body.
He took a deep breath, his throat tightening. He reached out and pointed with his fingertip, a rolling drop. The window was wet with rain, but he could still see a beautiful garden behind the glass. He remembered the impression it made when he first saw it. These beautiful bonsai trees, mini waterfall and gazebo, under which he wanted to sit. He could hardly stand this view now.
So he focused his dark eyes on the drops gliding over the smooth surface. It has been raining almost continuously since they parted. It seemed to him that nature reflected his feelings, almost like, in some romantic poem or movie. He was always amused that whenever things went wrong in the romantic books between the main characters, suddenly there were threatening clouds in the sky, almost as if nature felt the same way they did. But now he felt as if someone up there knew exactly what was going on in his soul, because since they parted, darkness had absorbed him.
For a moment he wondered when it was raining for the last time, and a slight smile crept over his lips. They were returning then from Yoongi's and Jimin's apartment. They were almost under the warehouse, when suddenly a huge downpour broke. It rained so hard that it took a moment, and both of them literally dripped with water. Jungkook jumped off the motorcycle like scalded as soon as V turned off the engine and started running towards the warehouse, trying to escape the incessant rain, but before he could run, V stopped him, stopping him in the best possible way.
He kissed him.
And maybe even the word "kissed" is not enough. He kissed him as if there was no tomorrow, stealing oxygen from his lungs. It was then that Jungkook understood why in all romantic films lovers are kissing in the rain. Not at all because the rain looks phenomenal in the frame, and the wet clothes hugging the athletic body are super sexy, but because this scene shows that lovers are able to go through everything together, even something as incomparable as nature. They show that their love will overcome anything, because love is an element.
The strongest element ever created.
And their love was just like that. Strong and invincible. It consumed them entirely without exception. It was a powerful element, tearing their hearts, but it was also timeless, able to survive everything. Now it was to decide their fate. It could destroy them or save them.
