Nate's pov

School went real fast and I was very anxious to meet Nikki during lunch...... I just wanted to talk to her about everything and end this misunderstanding going on between us and be friends again...
I walked into the cafeteria...not without stopping to wink at the few girls who kept flirting with me with their eyes....what? I can't help that am sooo gorgeous and breathtaking

"Hey" I asked her hoping she'd answer me cause so far I've gotten her friends to leave for a while
"What do you want "
"I want to talk about us"
"There isn't an us to talk about " wow.... is she being serious right now??
"I get that you're still mad at me....."
"It's boy that am mad at you or anything; I just don't wanna talk about what happened in the past month "she replied cutting me short.... at least we're getting somewhere right? I mean she's still talking to me so that should be a good sign
Ha! Wait till you tell her it was you
My subconscious tells me
I won't tell her anytime soon you know 

But you will tell her

How would you know that

Because we're the same person you idiot
 
"Hello? Earth to Nate " she called waving her hand in my face
"Sorry what were you saying?"
"I said I gotta go" no she can't leave just yet we haven't even spoken two sentences to each other
"Please wait a little longer "
She hesitated before adding
"Fine; but make it quick "
"Sure thing; uhm.... am really sorry for everything that I've put you through I didn't mean for anything to happen the way it did.....am soo sorry......gosh you're the first girl am apologizing to and I really, really mean it.....I just can't imagine you hating me forever ".
"Look,I already forgave you but don't expect us to get close and forget that what happened never happened okay "
"Yeah,cool, whatever as long as you have forgiven me" I think I feel my heart dancing with joy
"Okay I gotta go"
"I'll drop you off "
"No it's fine.....really I can walk there "
"Then I'll walk you to wherever you wanna go" please say yes please say yes
"No,don't worry about it I don't wanna bother you with my problems " what is she talking about
"I insist" I pressed on with hopes that she'll finally give in
"Fine...you win". She smiled.....that beautiful,beautiful smile.......... I don't ever wanna see her sad ever!
"Kay, so we're we going?"
"My moms "
"Your parents are divorced?" I asked raising an eyebrow
"Nooo.... my aunt suwalla...I live with her......kinda a mom figure to me.....I always refer to her as my mom " 
"Why". She turned to me with sadness written all over her face and I don't wanna make her cry by asking a stupid question that she obviously doesn't want to answer
"You know what... forget about what I asked" she replied by simply nodding and I swear I can tell she's trying to hold back her tears...... and so the rest of the walk is in silence....that kind where you feel so uncomfortable and you feel like you're suffocating ....that's what i feel now...
