        "Um. . ." Sophie questioned. "Who's Alden?"

Fitz, still holding her, looked down and grinned. "Mom's on some errands right now, but she'll want to meet you later. Dad can take care of your injury."

Sophie suddenly felt nervous. "I'm meeting your dad?" She asked, not knowing why she felt like tugging out an eyelash.

Fitz's teal eyes gleamed mischeiviously. "Don't worry." he said, grinning. " He dosen't usually bite."

Keefe, still sulking a little, because Fitz had gotten to carry her, was humming something that sounded suspciously like "Treat you Better" by Shawn Mendes.

Sophie laughed at Fitz's comment, but she felt nervous, and her face was a very bright red. Even though FItz had encouraged her to relax, it was virtually impossible with him holding her. Her heart was beating so fast, that she was sure he could hear it, and even though she felt really awkward, she. . .she kind of liked being so close to him. Stop it, Sophie. She chided herself. He's Biana's brother, and way out of your league. He barely knows you. He's holding you because your leg is gushing blood, not for any other reason.

"You alive over there, Foster?" Keefe asked her, smirking, although Sophie could tell he was genuinley concerened.

"Yes, but I'm barely holding on. I don't think I can make it!" she said, sighing dramatically, pretending to collapse.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Keefe said, holding up his hands as if to say, "Hold up." "Swooning over a cute boy, namely me, is not good for your condition!"

Sophie let out a very un-ladylike snort, even though she was blushing. Great. She griped. I'll add that to the list of reasons I'm blushing. It's a world reccord. Sophie tended to get sarcastic when she was in pain, and even though she would never admit it out loud, her leg  hurt pretty badly.

Fitz carried her inside, with Keefe following closely behind. This was actually her first time going inside the Vacker's mansion, since she had arrived only an hour ago, and it did not disapoint. Elegant furniture tastefully decorated the room. Their entryway was gorgeous, with glittering chandeliers, shining lights, and beautiful gold deccorations.

"It's beautiful!" Sophie gushed, and Fitz smiled, probably used to having people praise his extavagent home. Keefe led the two to a beautiful elevator, clearly having been there before. Sophie brushed her fingertips against the geourgeous gold filligree as Fitz carried her inside the elevator.

Keefe selected one of the five buttons, number 2. Five floors?!?!?  Sophie had to pinch herself. Here she was, in Fitz's arms, in a beautiful golden elevator, in the Vacker's beautiful five story home, with a bloody gash in her le--Okay, maybe this was real life.

It wasn't that the cut was too dangerously deep, but it was long, which was the reason that there was so much blood. Fitz, Keefe, and Sophie walked out of the elevator, and walked into an office on the right.

As the trio walked in, Sophie saw a charming, neat office, slightly larger than her bedroom. A man was sitting in a swivel chair, looking over some papers. Alden.

When the man-Fitz's dad-noticed them, he looked up. Sophie had to stop herself from gasping. The man resembled Fitz so much, he could be his older twin. He had a slightly more squared jaw, he was taller, and his hair was more carefully styled, but other than that they looked very similar. Both were very handsome, down to their dark brown hair, startling teal eyes, and symetrical features. She had seen him from a distance during the foaling, but had never gotten a close up look.
