Beatrice Black woke up pressed into the familiar form of Cedric Diggory. She absorbed his warmth and his pine cologne, wanting to stay like that forever. However, everything good comes to an end. She saw the hour and cursed. It was again, almost noon. She quietly stood up, not wanting to wake up the sleeping boy. She muttered a spell under her breath to change into her robes.
She quickly gave her boyfriend a sweet kiss in his head and opened the door into the common room. She ran across the castle for her common room. She knew it was Christmas, but she wanted everything to be perfect for today. She quickly climbed to her common room only to be met by a smug-looking Harry Potter.
She groaned and he pointed out his famous glare at her "So, Tris, care to tell me why you are recently entering the common room, when I did not see you even come up after the ball?".
The girl sighed and said, "I was sleeping at Cedric's, okay? It got really late and Ced did not want me to return from the Hufflepuff common room alone. Enough about me Harry, now tell me did you enjoy the ball yesterday?"
The boy who lived scoffed and said, "you know bloody well I didn't, but you were too preoccupied with Golden Boy Pretty Boy Diggory to notice".
Beatrice shoved him playfully and said, "Well, if you would have asked Ginny in the first place, you wouldn't have had such a bad time, would you?
The bespectacled boy blushed and laughed. The ice blue-eyed girl stared at his cousin she loved as a brother and said, "wait for me here, I have your Christmas gift in my dorm".
The girl gathered in a bag Cedric's gift which consisted of his signature pine cologne, a puddlemore united scarf, and poster and, she managed to find a watch in an antique shop. For Harry, she had managed to find a photo in Regulus's room that framed Aurora Black and Lily Potter smiling each with a baby in the redhead's arms, and a toddler sitting in the lap of the deceased Black mother.
The photo also had Regulus's handwriting at the back which said, "Aurora Black and Lily Potter, the best mothers for our Beatrice and Harry".
The girl ran back to the common room to find a pacing Harry with a gift also in his hand. She gave the young boy his gift and he quickly opened it. The boy staggered backward and launched himself into his cousin, muttering a string of gratitude.
"Blimey Tris, this is perfect. I love it. Now it's my turn. Remus gave me this and said that Aurora and my dad had matching rings".
She observed the gorgeous ring which had the encrypted initials of both his father and her mother. She managed to unclasp the necklace that Cedric gave to her and slip the ring that sported the encrypted initials of James Fleamont Potter. Harry cracked a smile and slipped Aurora Rose Black's ring into his finger. The two cousins hugged each other and stood in the embrace for a couple of minutes.
"Harry, please be careful tomorrow. Do not worry about winning or anything, just come back to us alive and well". The boy squeezed the girl further and she littered a kiss on his forehead.
She left the common room looking for her boyfriend who has waiting for her at the great hall. She skipped to him and gave him a kiss. "C'mon pretty boy Diggory, I want to give you your gift".
They left for a corridor and sat in one of the benches. He then said, "No, you let me go first Tris Black or Helga, I will not give you hugs for a day".
The girl laughed and rolled her eyes, "all right Ceddy-boy, let's see what you have".
The boy took a single key out of his robes and said, "this key belongs to a cottage by the sea my mom left for me on her will. She wanted me to have this and share it with the person I cherish the most. After we are done with Hogwarts we can move there and even though it's small, we can start there. This is me asking you, Beatrice Black, would you want to move with me to Shell Cottage after Hogwarts?"
