Her vision blurred and tears leaked out of her eyes. She lifted a hand to examine her currents. Gone. Silence. For the first time in 21 years, there was an eerie silence inside her body. She was a voltaic prowess no more.
There was no roaring or tingling sensation left inside her body. Her powers were gone. She turned her head to examine a mass of people gathered around her. Everybody was there.
Everyone except Sirius Black.
Her ears could decipher anything else other than the dull ringing. She turned her head to inspect the mop ginger hair that swam in her view. She saw Bill crying and mouthing something that beyond her senses.
She then saw another mop of red hair from the corner of her eye. The air left her lungs as she gasped sitting up from her Bill's lap. She then examined the face of her best friend.
Fred Weasley. He was moving. He was breathing.
She unlatched from Bill and hugged Fred with all her might. She couldn't believe it. It worked. It all worked. Her last specks of power as death had brought all the 55 fallen back to life except for Sirius Black who had bargained his life for hers.
She sobbed into his chest, finally gaining back her hearing abilities.
"Hey, Tris, Tris, look around, we won. You are okay, you're here. I am here", he sobbed back into her hair.
She soon nodded and her eyes searched for her husband.
She leaped into his arms and peppered his face with kisses. She was here. She was with them. She didn't bloody care if she had no more powers, she did not care if electricity did no longer run through her body. She caressed his face lightly and connected their lips savoring the usual cinnamon and tea that lingered even after war.
She was here. She was alive. She was safe.
She then looked at Remus and Nymphadora, sobs escaping her lips as she pulled them both in a hug. She clung into Remus's robes not wanting to let go of the man she regarded as a father.
"Beatrice, words can not describe how grateful we are. You saved us. You gave us a destiny with Teddy, and a chance to watch him grow. Now, it seems Padfoot is a little bit late to this celebration isn't he? Where the devil is he?", Remus said, searching the courtyard for his friend.
She once again sobbed into his chest.
"I need to explain this. Once we've gathered the order I will explain. For now, he's home, Moony. Pads is home", she said, wanting her godfather to get a hint.
She moved to hug Harry who pressed his face to her shoulder.
"Why did you do that, Tris? You self-sacrificing prick. You scared me to death. Lets not do this ever again, please".
"I could say the same thing about you Harry, you went into the forbidden forest knowing you would die too. C'mon, the order wants an explanation for this mess. I'll give it to them", she retreated, taking the hand of her husband and walking to the Great Hall.
While Kingsley redirected students to clean the castle and clear all pathawyas, she managed to get the whole order sitting down once and for all. They cheered and asked. Some either warily looked at her, trying to figure out how they were alive.
She cleared her throat, wanting to talk over the ruckus. With no avail, Fred stoop up and screamed,
"Allright tosspots, shut up and let the lady speak"
"Fred Gideon Weasley, treat your elders with respect, just because you came back from the dead doesn't mean you can run your mouth on us. But yes, of course, continue Beatrice, dear", Molly said, glaring at the younger man that stood beside her.
