AALIYAH TAYLOR

A GROAN ESCAPED my lips as the blinding rays of the sun shone through the curtains, hitting me directly in the face. I shifted my body in attempt to hide my face from the sun, wincing as a slight pain coursed throughout my body. I let out a frustrated sigh when I was unable to fall asleep again. Forcing my eyes open, I looked around the room.
The bed sat right in the middle of the squarish room, taking up quite a bit of space. To the right of the room was a tall, white chest of drawer. The closet-which is quiet obviously a walk-in closet-was to the far right of the room. A white bedside table with an alarm clock and a small white lamp sat beside the bed.
The room was filled with different kinds of art and photos, however the photo that caught my eyes was the one on the wall. It was a black outlined photo frame with a photo of Reid and Faith.
The room smelled slightly of fresh vanilla. The air was surprisingly warm for the morning, which I was grateful for seeing as I was completely naked.
It looked very different in the morning.
I peered to my left, looking over at a peacefully sleeping Reid. He slept with his lips slightly parted, his unkempt hair scattering across his forehead. Reid had one arm draped over my waist whilst soft snores fell from his lips. A small smile took over my lips as my eyes scanned every little detail of Reid.
I carefully pulled myself away from Reid, making sure not to wake him up. I searched around the room for my clothes. When I finally found them, I quietly dressed myself and exited the room.
The house was silent as I walked through the partially lit hallway. I finally made it to my room. I closed the door behind me, letting a sigh pass my lips. Grabbing my toiletries, I made my way to my bathroom for a shower. I turned on the water, allowing it to warm up as I stripped out of my clothes. I gasped as I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror. My hair was an absolute mess as was my makeup. I looked closer, noticing the many love bites Reid had left on my neck. When the water was warm enough, I stepped into the shower, sighing as the warm water hit my body.
I'm not sure how long I'd be in the shower for, but my skin began to wrinkle up. Finally, I decided to get out of the shower. I left the bathroom and went back to my room. I moisturized my body before rummaging through my drawers for something to wear. I decided on a white t-shirt and a grey pair of sweatpants. I made the decision to deal with my hair later and pulled it into a low ponytail.
I debated whether or not I should make breakfast, but my answer was finalized when my stomach began to rumble. Making my way to the kitchen, I noticed the manor was still empty. Once I was in the kitchen, I began to look in the fridge for something to eat. I grabbed a few ingredients from the fridge, deciding to whip something up. Within an hour, I was seated at the island eating a breakfast burrito. When I was finished eating, I washed my dishes. Making my way to the living room, I turned on the T.V and began to flip through the channels.
Boredom finally struck me, and I decided to explore the house. I walked down the hall, coming to a stop at a tall, glass door. I instantly unlocked the door, stepping out onto the greenest grass I had ever seen in my life.
I looked around, realizing I was now in the backyard... The most beautiful backyard I had ever seen.
The first thing that caught my eye was the pool. Its color was blue like the dolphins that swim in the pacific. Around the pool were these beautiful green bushes. Around me, there were bright red roses. Along that wall is also a medium sized tree. There were multiple couches that welcomed me into the yard as I walked from the inside of the manor to the outside. In the corner of my yard is a large square shaped jacuzzi. In the other corner of the yard was an outdoor fireplace. Its shape is pentagonal. There were two small benches surrounding it. Next to the fireplace, is a family sized table with tall bar stools going around the boarders. There were several heater umbrellas. Other decorations that I could see around me were the wind chimes, and the fountain. Both of these make a very peaceful noise. The wind chimes cling together and sound like twenty bells all ringing at once, and the fountain sounds like a heavy rain that is falling over my head.
"There you are, I've been looking for you!" I heard Faith shout from behind me.
I turned, smiling as Faith jogged over to me.
"Hey." I said.
"It's beautiful out here, huh?" She inquired, referring to the backyard as she looked around.
"Yeah, it's my first time actually seeing all of this." I said.
"Right... How was last night?" She asked.
My face flushed at the mention of the night before as the events of the night replayed in my head.
"It was...interesting." I said, watching as a smirk appeared on Faith's lips.
"Well then you have lots to tell me!" She exclaimed as she pulled me in the direction of the house.
