AALIYAH TAYLOR

|||

THE NEXT MORNING, I was forced out of the most peaceful sleep when Laurelle barged into the room, chanting my name over and over again.

"Rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty." Laurelle laughed as she pulled the blanket off of my body.

I shuddered as the cool air hit my body. Groaning, I forced my eyes open and sat up on the bed. I was greeted with an amused looking Laurelle. She threw the blanket on the bed, placing her hand on her hips.

"Be ready in an hour, I'll be back for you." Laurelle said, her lips curling up into a smirk as I let out another groan.

"What time is it? It's so early." I whined, earning a small laugh from Laurelle.

"Someone's not a morning person." Laurelle mumbled, causing me to roll my eyes.

"It's ten thirty, by the way." Laurelle added before turning on her heels and walking out of the room.

I sighed, slowly getting out of bed. I trudged towards the bathroom, turning on the shower. As I allowed the water to warm up, I stripped out of the clothes I had been wearing. Once the water was warm, I stepped into the shower. I'm not sure how long I had been standing under the water for, but a loud knock on the door caused me to jump.

"I thought I told you to be ready in an hour!" I heard Laurelle yell from outside the door.

"I'm coming! Get your panties out of a bunch!" I yelled back.

A few seconds passed before I decided to turn off the shower. I stepped out, wrapping the towel that I had found around my body. I walked out into the room, sighing loudly as I rummaged through the drawers for something to wear. I finally decided on a burgundy tank top and a black pair of distressed jeans. Pulling my hair into a low ponytail, I made my way to the door. I flung open the door, revealing an impatient looking Laurelle.

"What the hell took you so long?" She asked, causing me to shrug.

Laurelle grabbed my hand, leading me down the stairs. She walked me into the kitchen, where two men sat around a marble island and a woman stood at the stove. Laurelle offered me a small smile before introducing me to everyone else.

"That's Eli." She said, gesturing to one of the males.

Eli had unruly, dark brown hair, and these beautiful dark brown eyes that complemented his fair skin tone. He smiled at me, and I returned one back. He was wearing a black t-shirt and a black pair of jeans.

Laurelle pointed to the other male.

"That's Jon. He's an asshole." She said, whispering the last part so only I could hear.

Jon didn't even bothering looking in my direction. He continued to scroll through his phone, ignoring my pres From what I could tell, he had golden brown hair, blue eyes and pale skin. His attire consisted of a dark grey t-shirt and blue jeans.

Lastly, Laurelle pointed to the woman. She wasn't very tall; standing at 5'4. She had blonde, shoulder length hair. Her icy blue eyes complemented her pale complexion perfectly. She wore a white sundress, which was decorated with a number of huge yellow sunflowers.

She was absolutely beautiful.

"And that is Faith." Laurelle finished.

"Don't worry, it's not too bad here once you get Faith to like you." Laurelle added, patting my back.
