AALIYAH TAYLOR

LUNCH APPROACHED QUICKER than I had thought; however, I was more than grateful for the time off from work. I met Tiffany in the lobby, where she was awaiting me with a massive grin on her face. We strolled out of Braxton Enterprises, and I noted that Tiffany's smile hadn't wavered.
"What's made you so happy?" I questioned as Tiffany and I strode along the busy sidewalk.
"You recall that guy from the club? I've got a date with him this Saturday." Tiffany mentioned.
A grin snaked its way onto my face as I glanced over at Tiffany. She was already watching me, a minor smile making her lips tug slightly upwards.
"Really? That's amazing!" I exclaimed.
Tiffany then took it upon herself to explain how the man had asked her out. We gossiped about Tiffany's love interest the full duration of the lunch hour, and I didn't mind at all. Lunch breezed by, and before I knew it, Tiffany and I were making our way back to the office.
"I'll see you after work." Tiffany said as she strolled to the front desk.
I nodded, making my departure and striding to the elevator. Once making my way to my floor, I walked to my office. With a groan, I powered on my computer and returned to my work. Whilst working through paperwork, a knock sounded from the door. Without looking up, I called out to the person on the other side of the door. The door opened, and the familiar scent of an expensive cologne filled the office. I immediately looked up, locking eyes with Reid.
"M-Mr. Braxton." I greeted softly as he casually strolled towards my desk.
He sat in the chair opposite of me, his legs wide open as he slightly slouched in the chair. His caramel colored orbs darkened a few shades as they raked over my chest and torso. A shiver made its way down my spine as Reid looked back up; locking eyes with me.
"You know you can call me Reid, right?" Reid questioned.
I couldn't find it in me to speak, so I just nodded.
"Right... Uh, is there something you needed?" I inquired softly.
I didn't fail to notice the way Reid's ears turned a crimson color at my question. He scratched the back of his neck as he opened his mouth to speak.
"I actually wanted to ask if you wanted to get dinner with me?" The question came out simple and throaty.
"You know, to get to know each other outside of work." Reid continued.
I pondered for a few moments before making my decision.
"Sure." I replied as my lips tugged up into a small grin.
"Great. Seven tomorrow night?" Reid suggested.
"It's a date." I approved.
With a nod, Reid turned on his heels and exited the room. I continued with my work, not knowing that I was still smiling.

The day progressed slowly, and when it finally ended, I was more than relieved. I gathered my belongings and made my way to the elevator. As I walked past the front desk, I realized that Tiffany had already clocked out for the day.
I walked out of the building, a small smile tugging at my lips as I caught a glimpse of Robin. He was standing outside of the car, waiting for me. He smiled, opening the door as I inched closer to the car.
"Hi Robin, thank you." I said as I climbed into the car.
He closed the door behind me before making his way to the front. Once Robin was in the car, he started it and pulled away from the building.
"How was your day?" Robin questioned, looking back at me through the rear-view mirror.
"It was good, what about yours?"
"It was pretty good." Robin answered.
We engaged in small talk as the radio played softly in the background. Eventually, we made it to the manor. Robin parked the car, got out and opened the door for me. I thanked him, wishing him a good evening as I made my way to the doors of the manor. As I made my way up the stairs, the front door flew open, revealing a smiling Faith. She waved to Robin before he climbed back in the car and pulled away from the estate.
"Hey." I greeted.
"Hey, how was your day?" Faith said as I walked through the doors.
"It was good. Yours?" I asked as I slipped my feet out of my heels.
"It was super uneventful. Dinner is ready if you're hungry." Faith informed me.
"I'd actually like to wash up before I eat. How about I take a shower and then we could watch a movie or something?" I suggested.
Faith's lips tugged upward into a grin as she nodded her head. I smiled before making my way to my room. Dropping my purse on my bed, I made my way to the bathroom and prepared for my shower.
