AALIYAH TAYLOR

SATURDAY APPROACHED FASTER than I had expected. Before I knew it, I was standing in the middle of my room-clothes sitting all over the floor. I plopped myself onto the floor, sighing loudly. Picking up my phone, I began to think of a reason to cancel on Tiffany. Before I could dial Tiffany's number, a knock sounded from the front door.
I groaned, rising from the floor. I proceeded to the front door, unlatching the locks. I pulled the door open, gasping quietly whilst Tiffany's lips pulled upwards into a grin.
"What are you doing here so early?" I questioned, inspecting Tiffany's outfit.
She wore a black satin cocktail dress along with a black pair of heels. The front of the dress drooped downwards, giving clear view of Tiffany's cleavage. Her curled hair cascaded over her shoulders, flowing down her back.
"We're leaving in thirty minutes. Please, tell me you're nearly ready." Tiffany said as she looked down at my clothing.
"Yeah, I'll be done soon. Come in." I lied, stepping aside as I allowed Tiffany to enter my apartment.
She walked in, her heels clicking against the wooden floors. I signaled for Tiffany to follow me as I guided her to the living room.
"You look astonishing, by the way." I complemented, earning a blush from Tiffany.
"Thank you."
"Make yourself at home, I'll be ready soon." I said before rushing off towards my room.
I closed the door behind me, silently panicking as I rushed around my room. After a few minutes of looking around, I decided on a black pair of leather pants, a red, long-sleeved, lacy top and a black pair of heels.
Rushing over to my vanity, I grabbed my hair brush and began to style my hair. I plugged in my straightener, allowing it to heat up as I started my makeup. Once my makeup was done, I proceeded with my hair.
"Hurry up, Aaliyah! We have to leave soon!" I heard Tiffany yell from the living room.
I unplugged the straightener, standing from my vanity. I rushed over to the other side of the room and grabbed my black Y-quilted Yves Saint Laurent cross-body purse. Once I was ready, I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled.
I exited my room, emerging into the living room-a small smirk playing on my lips as Tiffany caught a glimpse of me. Her eyes widened as she took in my appearance.
"Wow, you look amazing!" Tiffany beamed.
"Why, thank you Ms. Gram." I spoke in a fake British accent, causing both Tiffany and I to giggle.
Grabbing my arm, Tiffany lead me to the front door, laughing to herself as I nearly stumbled my own two feet.
"Come on, we need to leave now if we want to beat traffic!" Tiffany said, pulling me out of my apartment.
Maybe, just maybe, tonight would actually be fun.

Tiffany and I stood at the front entrance of the new club 'Horizon,' as excitement pumped throughout my veins. The line grew longer behind us, people eager to make it inside. The line slowly moved forward, and I looked ahead to see how many more people are in front of us.
After a few minutes, Tiffany and I are standing at the front of the line. The bouncer was a tall, buff man. He wore all black, his tight, black t-shirt showing off his protruding muscles. He was a very good looking man, but I wasn't looking to hook up with anyone tonight.
