Where were you, in my time of need,
Where were you, when my heart was freed;
Free from neglect, hatred and greed.
Where were you, when I was alone,
Alone in the cold, while you were home.
Where were you, when I was down to pick me up and show me around.
Where were you in the night,
To help me in my emotional fight,
Where were you, when my eyes were red;
From sleepless nights, not usually fed.
I was here, you were there;
You don't care, while am lost in fear.
Like a magnet, you pull me near,
Not attracted to my love; but my tears.
This pain, I can no longer bear
So, like a car I shall change my gear,
Drive away from you and never stay near.Tremar Ivey
