A/N:

This one shot doesn't revolve around a specific person, so I guess you can just imagine the protagonist as a anyone you want. 🤷🏻‍♀️

And then she woke up.

The sky was blue, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and everything was okay.

Sunday mornings had always been her favorite time of the week.

The chilly, autumn breeze blew through the windows, making the yellow curtains rise and fall, in unison with her chest as she took a deep breath before getting out of her cozy bed.

She dragged her hand along the railing of the long staircase, as she gazed at the many picture frames aligning the walls. Old memories flashed through her mind, putting a wide, cheeky smile on her face.

She traveled down into the study, as the nostalgic scent of old books filled the air.

Her desk looked just the same as she left it last night: neat, organized, and everything placed perfectly in their imperfect spot.

'Here Comes The Sun' played softly on her record player, creating an auspicious aura, suitable for the schoolwork she would have to finish later.

Walking down the hallway, the smell of fresh brewing coffee wafted past her nostrils, as well as waffles and many more of her favorite delicacies.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz played quietly on the television screen, her dog laid lazily on the fuzzy carpet, listening to Judy Garland's sweet, melodic voice.

She had a rough time last night, but today was just so perfect, it made her heart erupt with laughter. Everything was okay.

Except for one thing:

This story begins at the end and ends at the beginning.

And all that is left is a broken middle and a lousy dream.

It's all about perspective.

Maybe you'll figure this one out, maybe you won't.

Just know that nothing is always as it seems.

Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.

But maybe, just maybe, this time?

You're the mirror.

Maybe your nightmares have become daydreams.

And maybe the dark shines through the light.

The truth will always unfold, one way or another.

All you have to do, is wake up.

A/N So, if you didn't get the message, read the end of the story first.

The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end.
